Edit: what I mean by putting under the WM is to place four pieces of the slabs - one for each foot.

Guys, is it safe to put concrete paving slabs under a FL washing machine? The slabs look something like the photo below, around 2 inch thick. Reason is the WM will be placed in wet kitchen and we expect to wash the area pretty often. I'm worried the WM might topple as sometimes the spinning can be rather violent if there is unbalanced load.

QUOTE(eclectice @ May 19 2022, 11:26 AM) For top-loaders: Do you ever wash your blankets, beds, or mats? It's possible that you'll need to select one that can manage a heavy load. Typically, the drum must be larger and capable of withstanding wobbles and other vibrations. Front-loaders, on the other hand, will make heavy loads a breeze. My experience with front loader is opposite that of yours. Washing heavy stuff like a piece of queen sized blanket will cause heavy imbalance that stops the machine. |

QUOTE(eclectice @ May 23 2022, 03:25 PM) Okay, wobble, shaking, and vibration might not be a great differentiator. To be fair, every washing machine must be correctly leveled, and the floor must be completely even on the surface. Otherwise, throughout the cycle, the weight shifts unequally. Aside from that, it is not recommended to mix items that hold water in different ways. We don't, for example, mix blankets or towels with other clothing. It's kind of obvious though. Yup, that's why I wrote washing a piece of blanket.I will go for a bigger drum to make sure bigger bedding can fit the recommended weight allowed by the washing machine. |

QUOTE(MasBoleh! @ Aug 1 2025, 06:50 PM) Hi all, I bought this LG 12kg washer last month. Wanted to buy 14kg but was OOS. Luckily, 12kg one is more than enough for me and it can easily wash one full height balcony curtain.I am buying the following Front Washing Machine and Dryer. Do you have any feedback or anything? QUOTE(MasBoleh! @ Aug 14 2025, 05:55 AM) I last used a front loader 10 years ago (LG combo). Back then it would always have load balancing issue whenever I washed big items. This 12kg one doesn't have balancing issue. And the door unlocks seconds after it completes a cycle, instead of having to wait a long time like the previous one. MasBoleh! liked this post
