The Panasonic TL washer in our house just refuse to die!

I just checked the record and found that it has been serving us good since 2007! That's 18 years! Of course there has been minor issues here and there; all were fixed/changed by myself (DIY guy here).

Now we are looking for a new washer since we are renovating and remodeling our house. I just couldn't convince my wife to try another brand... hahaha, it has got to be Panasonic. And we like the simplicity of top loaders.

don't buy Toshiba top loaded washing machine. It has 2 years warranty and I have only been using it for 1.5 years already got problem when spinning. The washing machine will bang very loud. Luckily still under warranty but it is as though a known issue because the technician knows what to order and replace based on my description.

Toshiba is bought by midea...Well, today the technician came to fix the washing machine..he said the suspension got problem and also the drum.
All changed and now it's working fine. But I dont really like the hassle of waiting and not having to use the washing machine for few days..
now they fixed already I noticed water. leaking from the bottom.. bangwall.gif

It seems the problem one to another, i know how you feel, but no choice as you need to call back the technician 😢

Once leaking, it won't last long as it would leak again, it happened to me before 😢

I used Electrolux front loader for 8 years before the rubber just came off...the engine is still working fine, so I thought to change to top loader because of the inside of the rubber always got black mold...no matter how I let it dry or wipe it...
Top loader also makes my shirt collar loose...unless its the high quality like superdry that kinda reinforced the neckline so it won't go out of shape..
how long have you been using your Panasonic WM? my mom also using pana wm for many years..no problem like mine...

The newer Panasonic top loader basically didn't change much the design internally. Even the interface is same (electronics underneath same) with some new front faceplate and rearrangement. Mine lasted around 20 years. Usually the parts that needs change is the pulsator and the belt. Both of these doesn't need any technician to change, you can do it yourself. At the end it look quite worn off already, bought another TL from Panasonic.

the one brand definite must avoid is samsung. So far my experience with samsung:

Washing machine - 3 years
TV - 3 years
Refrigerator - 2 years

In one of my houses I changed all to LG brand. The TV and Fridge works great, but the washing machine performance abit poor, panasonic still the best

samsung is the worst

my myr 8k qled tv i bought in 2018, started to get small backlight not working lines.

i called samsung service to come, the bitch came took the tv, said it was too hard to fix, need to change the whole panel, i said sent back i dont want to pay to fix, just the inspection charge was 150.

this fucker sent back a fully non functioning tv to me, when it was supposed to be perfectly usable with the one dead backlight area. like punishing me because i didnt fix with him?

anyway i already bought a new tv by then, so i only turn on after a month, and then when i tried to contact samsung customer service they blamed me because i didnt try the second he sent back and only contacted them after a month.

total waste

next was my fold. fold screen inside broke by itself. took to samsung. they said it broke because we dropped it?? and then they showed me confidential report which cant take out or take photo because so secret that show accelerometer reading that i dropped and broke device, so no warranty, pay 5k to fix screen.

i said fuck off rather bin the thing and get an iphone for 5k ??

then they told me actually we can buy your phone from you and give u discount on new phone, like a trade in?

i almost took this deal, but then cancel. took the phone to another location and bam fully covered under warranty.

its almost like they are allowing these people to scam the living hell out of customers

now again like fuk my luck, my samsung washer dryer died after 2 years.

again called the useless customer service

they said motherboard issue rm580

he came yesterday with new motherboard, replaced and still dont work.

now i think he noticed it is just a minor wire problem, but he said the new motherboard also not working, so he will go back take new one and fix that with wire

so instead of rm20 wire fix, he wants to charge me rm600

why is this country full of fucking scammers now??

why dont we have proper, regulated services with people who actually care like in the west?

people who have their reputation on the line and will do anything to help the customers

cant stand it

rant end
