Dear all, can i check for front loading washing machine do i need to use special soap powder or liquid detergent?  can i use the top loading soap powder or liquid detergent for front loading.  is this cost higher for front load detergent compared to top loading?
*
You need to use low sud detergent for front loading. It create less bubble compare normal detergent. Which too much bubble will spoil the front loader washing machine.

Do washer and dryer require 15A points?

My existing washer is just using 13A. My wireman told me to get 15A sockets for the new wiring work done. Are there certain models with 15A?

If I still use 13A, is there a 'converter' that will allow me to plug into 15A socket?
*
No need 15a sockets. Just a 13a socket. Check your washer what is the wattage. As long as 3000W or below is safe to use.

The dryer side is using more power.

So washer = 13A
And dryer = 15A

Correct?

We've been using Amway SA8 Laundry Detergent on our previous and current front load machine. No issues whatsoever, but the current Panasonic model is more efficient hence we use less soap but the wash is still clean. I think Amway detergent is more expensive then Persil and the Persil we get here is not of the same quality like it use to be.

Normal soap will cause the machine not to rinse effectively (some modern ones will stop with"suds lock error code") as front loading machine uses less water. Does not exactly cause breakdown of the machine.

Your wireman mislead you. 15A wiring mean expecting much higher power. I think for normal home, only air-con need that much power.

Even LG highest end (on its website) 13kg washer cum 7kg dryer is using normal 13A. I had just order that. And if I remember well, even the 17kg is using normal UK plug as well.

When my new washer arrived, I shall monitor its power usage because I have the watt meter... which can easily confirm it.

Btw, I just aware my desktop computer is only using 90 watt during IDLE and 150 watt while surting net... The best way to know power consumption is to measure it...

Anyone here using 2 in 1 washer dryer? Mind to share your experience? Interested to buy 1.

Mine using LG washer dryer model wd-cd1412w 14kg washer n 8kg dryer. Use almost a month. So far I'm satisfied because the dryer is really dry. You can wear it out of the machine. It very silence even though its run at very powerful speed. It take 4.5 hour to finish washer n dryer plus a few hour to cooling down.

Basically I only need washer function. But think if spend a bit more with dryer function will be handy when I need it... Maybe once a month.

If I do buy, planning to extend another 4 years warranty. I like LG, with hope that it might be quiet in operation.

Here I narrow down to 5 choices;

(1) LG WD-CD1412W 14/8kg RM5699 - Over expected budget and never need the capacity. But wonder any benefit like more stable and quiet operation, which can justify the extra cost.
(2) LG WD-CD914W 9/6kg RM3499 - So far like it most for the price and requirement, which I think fit the best
(3) LG WD-PD8010M only washer 8kg RM2399 - Plain washer... I mean if LG washer/dyrer -> dryer function suck...
(4) Electrolux EWW1274 7kg /5 RM2799 - Safe choice with nothing special. Concern about spinning noise as usual...
(5) Electrolux 11kg pure washer - Safe choice, but expected noise due to normal belt system.

Do appreciate your comments and past experinces.

Mine is LG WD-CD1412W 14/8kg .. so far so good.. no need to dry my cloth under the sun anymore. Usually I wash my cloth 5-6 times a week. My bill last month is about rm130.. I bought approximately rm4500 -rm4800.. I can't recall..

Yes. It use low sud detergent, liquid or powder. I already survey at my area, only dynamo can be use for front loading. You can check the label at the back. You can see either top loading, front loading or hand wash. But dynamo is so pricey. Then I survey at internet, they are some website that sell liquid detergent that been use at dobi. Or you can ask any dobi shop to buy one.. I got mine 12 litres at rm25.. its a good price compare to dynamo. .

That is very high spin under normal dry mode.

The continue spin drum after dry is not cooling down. It reduce the cloth wrinkle.

It state at the screen is cooling down. Because after dryer the cloth is hot. Also cannot open the door until you finish the cooling down process. But still can do the trick, push on off button, so the process will reset. In the cooling down process the machine will spinning every half hour to reduce wrinkle.

Here I can't find any low sud detergent, except dynamo. When I buy this wm, I buy this normal Top liquid detergent, its make so many bubbles until its leak out of the door (this is first experience).. then I knew that I need low sud detergent. smile.gif

Owh .. I think its 12kg not 12 litres.. the bottles is so big n heavy. I use 3 bottle cap of dynamo every wash. And it smell good after dryer. I use almost a month, if not mistaken the detergent is not reach quater of the bottle yet. Need to check out first. Before use this I buy dynamo Downey small bottle. Then I transfer this detergent to dynamo bottle. smile.gif

Gonna show you the picture later.

I remember the manual write, it is for reduce the wrinkle. The spinning can be stop by pressing the start/stop button. Once you hear the lock open, you can open the door. Becarefull with the hot steam air rush out.

I don't let it continue to spin cool down. As it waste electricity. Just press the start/stop button and take it out to cool down.

The TOP low sud powder detergent can last me about 70wash which everymonth I wash 5-6x. 2 full scoop perwash. That total up about 1yrs.

So every end of the yrs, I only look for the detergent. My side here is opposite. I cannot find the liquid low sud detergent. Mostly sell powder type. Those tesco, giant or aeon sure got.
