Basically I only need washer function. But think if spend a bit more with dryer function will be handy when I need it... Maybe once a month.

If I do buy, planning to extend another 4 years warranty. I like LG, with hope that it might be quiet in operation.

Here I narrow down to 5 choices;

(1) LG WD-CD1412W 14/8kg RM5699 - Over expected budget and never need the capacity. But wonder any benefit like more stable and quiet operation, which can justify the extra cost.
(2) LG WD-CD914W 9/6kg RM3499 - So far like it most for the price and requirement, which I think fit the best
(3) LG WD-PD8010M only washer 8kg RM2399 - Plain washer... I mean if LG washer/dyrer -> dryer function suck...
(4) Electrolux EWW1274 7kg /5 RM2799 - Safe choice with nothing special. Concern about spinning noise as usual...
(5) Electrolux 11kg pure washer - Safe choice, but expected noise due to normal belt system.

Do appreciate your comments and past experinces.

If remember well, I saw it Rm3800 for Harney horman and BEST.

Any reason on getting it rather than the larger unit or the 9 kg washer / 6kg dryer one?

Personally I slightly do not like the silver color... But this model also grab my attention.

Do washer and dryer require 15A points?

My existing washer is just using 13A. My wireman told me to get 15A sockets for the new wiring work done. Are there certain models with 15A?

If I still use 13A, is there a 'converter' that will allow me to plug into 15A socket?

Your wireman mislead you. 15A wiring mean expecting much higher power. I think for normal home, only air-con need that much power.

Even LG highest end (on its website) 13kg washer cum 7kg dryer is using normal 13A. I had just order that. And if I remember well, even the 17kg is using normal UK plug as well.

When my new washer arrived, I shall monitor its power usage because I have the watt meter... which can easily confirm it.

Btw, I just aware my desktop computer is only using 90 watt during IDLE and 150 watt while surting net... The best way to know power consumption is to measure it...

Mine is LG WD-CD1412W 14/8kg .. so far so good.. no need to dry my cloth under the sun anymore. Usually I wash my cloth 5-6 times a week. My bill last month is about rm130..  I bought approximately rm4500 -rm4800.. I can't recall..

Thanks for the information.

Initially I want to buy your model, but later found that it was outdated. The new one are all 6 motions series... Thus I got myself the 13kg / 7 kg combo one.

My LG front loading arrived yesterday. Impressively silence... Way better than expected. During testing without cloths, my wife thought it did not function because no sound.
Anyway, this month electricity bill will shoot up... Yesterday2 times washes and today 6 times. I dunno how my wife managed to find so much thingw to wash with 13kg washer...

Hi,At the end, which model you bought?
I am also looking for front loaded washer + dryer and short listed Electrolux EWW1273 (with JetSpray function) RM2799 from Harvey Norman.

Want to ask others too, usually this kind of 2 in 1 system reliable or not?

At the end, I found LG 13/7 Combo. It is so much quiet as compare to Electrolux. And my wife love it so much.

However, I thought having bought a larger washer can help reduce the washing freq, but I am wrong. End up my wife keep having something to wash... Electricity going to be some problem later...

The dryer function wise, only use about 4 times... Working flawlessly, except combined time is a bit long... After watching a MKV still have to wait for an hour.

Do note that do not put those melt able stuff... Example: Some shirt button actually can melt one...
