I used to have this issue as well. Just use high pressure water jet spray the drum and no more already.
Also after spray, apply vinegar + baking soda and + bleach and soak it with high temp and rinse it after that.

Good luck.

such hardsell..lol

Hope they rectified the load balancing issue and better quality absorbers and also the gap between the plastic drum "beater" and the drum itself, clothes with string somehow get caught and entangled in that. Checked some new Panasonic models, still have this gap on the drum beater.

Other than this agreed it is a good machine, ours worked fine for 8 years despite two times of drain pump failure (user issue, parents & siblings don't empty pocket before throwing into the machine) and belt failure. Final repair was the failed absorber + tattered belting due to the absorber failure, supposed to discard when it came to this but dad insisted to repair; so we sold it off after repair job; since the drain pump was on its way out again. The machine randomly throws error code and stops sometime; so have to closely monitor.

Ours was NA-140VX3 with StainMaster as well, honestly didn't really find it useful and our LG is more superior in cleaning compared to this Panasonic, even without the turbo wash function and any of the touted stainmaster technology. Panasonic comes with the 5 nozzle jet spray, which aids cleaning; whereas, LG comes with 6 motion wash as standard (mimics handwash method) and turbo wash is available only on select models.

That said, the cleaning power of the NA-140VX3 is already good, but the LG FL just betters it; and probably because LG is newer technology as well.

Hi sifus, was considering LG FL washer...
But also have dilemma of buying with dryer or not...
I heard that 2 in 1 (washer + dryer) machine is less reliable...
Wanted some input from those who has those machine before...

Separate machines still does better (if you have the space).

I have a 2021 Samsung washer dryer. The one with Wi-Fi. Love it so much, clothes so bloody clean nowadays and they smell so nice. Machine will auto dispense required amount of detergent and softener.

I rarely use the dryer function on mine. Since it is combined, it takes much longer to dry than a standalone washer.

Takes about 5 hours to wash and dry fully if you drying clothes and towels. Comforter and duvet all won’t dry even after 4 hours in the dryer. Different from dobi where everything dries after 30 minutes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It doesn’t really dry completely, but still works for me. I own a LG 2 in 1 machine, mainly cause I don’t have a lot of space to place two machines.

Hi Guys,
Hope you're all doing well, I'm getting married in 3 weeks and moving into a condo and in need of a FL washing machine, since i will also be buying a fridge the budget is 1.5k for the washing machine. Was looking at the 7.5kg electrolux ultimate care 300 vs lg md8000wm. I was considering toshiba TW-BH85S2M but the sales rep told me their quality has dropped since they were bought over by Midea. I'm keeping the budget at 1.5k so that i can add on extended warranty for peace of mind. I'm leaning towards the electrolux since my mum has one for the past 5 years with no issues. Price wise toshiba<LG<electrolux but right now there are some sales going on so might be worth a look. Any help or suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks.

hi guys. am in the market for new washer and dryer for new house.
currently shortlisted a set from LG and Samsung.

LG-FV1450S4W (10.5kg DD FL) + LG-VDH9066WS (9kg Heatpump)

Samsung WW-10TP44DSX (10kg FL Inverter) + SAM-DV90T640LH (9kg Heatpump)

Samsung washer comes down to much cheaper cos got about 40% rebate (all buying from senheng) vs LG (16%). Am gonna use the rebate for other house appliances so still consider as savings.

Want to know which one is more reliable and better performance (cleaning and drying wise). How's their after sales service (for samsung & LG)

seeking some help and advice from sifus here…

My SAMSUNG front load ECOBUBBLE 7Kg (6yo) has some problem… the drum is not rotating after water is filled.. theres some normal motor sound and looks like motor trying to do something but drum not moving. Sent some videos to technician and was being advised β€˜belt’ is torn…maybe putting too much load… repair need 6-700 and better buy new one… lol

Not sure if anyone has similar problem?
Is it costing that much to replace the β€˜belt’? Motor seems ok…
Anyone has exp in calling SAMSUNG tech to come onsite for proper diagnose and how much?
Anyone know if where to dispose/ trade in minor spoilt unit? (Unit still very new though 🀣)

Samsung is not direct drive, Inverter with belt similar to Panasonic, electrolux, Toshiba, Midea.

I went with LG because of the 6 motion wash method and also based on user experience; many had trouble free usage for more than 6 years.

As a matter of preference, I prefer LG's AI over Samsung. LG picks the wash pattern from the 6 motions (scrub, swing, filter, rolling, stepping and tumble) based on the weight of clothes in the drum; whereas, the Samsung picks only the wash cycle based on user usage pattern.

Mine is still going as good as new for 2 years now. Though now our washes are less frequent since end of last year as we are back to work from office. We use it almost daily during the MCO up until Oct last year, now at most about 2 - 3 washes per week.

Washes clean & quick although our standard washer (without dryer) does not come with Turbo Wash function.

Personally timed the machine, and it does finish faster than the indicated time (probably fill time is shorter as we are using water pump); compared to our older Panasonic FL which loves to extend wash time (due to unbalanced load, so it will do extra rinse to compensate for that failure) and finally throw a random error code every once in 20 washes (towards the end of its life with us, it will repeatedly throw pump error code and if left unattended will just happily switch off by itself without finishing the cycle)

Hi. I am looking for 9 to 10kg inverter top load washing machine. I heard that minimum size of washer to wash living room curtain is 10kg, is that true?
may I know among the washers below, which one is better for budget within 1.5k? or there is other better option?

i)Samsung WA10T5260BY/FQ or Samsung WA10R5260BG (kinda confused of the model number) Wobble Technology
ii) LG T2109VS2M (9kg only)
iii) Sharp 10kg Full Auto Washing Machine - ESY1019 (DD inverter)
iv) Sharp 10kg No Hole Washing Machine - ESU106H

Thank you

Depends on the width and height of the curtain too, some living room have double ceiling height; those most likely can't fit into a 10kg machine.

Even the standard 10 feet x 10 feet height living room curtain, we wash the pcs separately so as not to overload the machine. I am using 10kg FL.

Can use those Washing machine washers, but I just buy cheap mouthwash and use that instead.

My machine smells fresher, I run Tub Clean with the Mouth Wash & then rinse the machine.

Wiping down the gasket and inner fold of the gasket helps too, while at it, clean the lint filter.
