The drain tube is to release the water so you can takeout the filter for cleaning. It locate at the bottom left small door. For my LG WM.

Very good hidden feature.
Another thing for the FL washer user is dont throw away the shipping bolts, you need to reinstall the bolts for moving the washer or risk to damage the drum.

ya there is a tube there but not much water coming out. A lot of water instead coming out from the filter when open. LG technician came and said its like that and I dont have to empty it all the time maybe 4-6 months once. however, the manual states otherwise and that have to be cleared "regularly". Unless the definition of that is 4-6 months smile.gif

The drain tube should remove 90% of the water. try to pull the tube all the way out.

I only remove the filter for some emergency reasons, like eraser, coins was stuck on the filter, the pump will make some funny sound, another way to see if required filter maintenance is the cloths still dripping wet when the washing and spinning are done.

The coin etc can go into the filter?

My LG WM filter is only trap the fibre and dirt. Those big object like coin will remain in the drum after wash. I wash the filter every 6mth.

No lah, mine is Samsung diamond drum, been used 4~5 years, never fail, the only complaint is spinning noise at 1200rpm, sound like the jet engine. sweat.gif

Only the motor, not the others parts like power, control panel, roller etc. just like AC compressor is 7 years but faulty seldom come from compressor.

Can anyone owning a front load with high spin capability of 1000-1600 RPM share your experience of having clothes spun at higher RPM namely higher than 1000 range. How does the clothes turn out? Is it to wrung up, does it chaf the fabric, towel, does the washing machine shake, etc. Any precautions with delicate clothes or items etc.

One thing I experience even for working shirts that the collar seams starts to tear over the years. Don't know if it's the washer spinning at 1000rpm or just the way I open my shirt (unbottom top three buttons and take it out like a t-shirt)

i have an electrolux with speed of 1200 RPM. never any issue. but it will probably depend on wether you have a) a good washing machine and b) good shirts. if either one is poor you will most likely have problems.

they dont drip after a 1200 RPM spin but still are a bit damp/moist. even in this weather can just hang to dry and next day OK. they are a lot (!!) drier than with 700 RPM. day and night. 700 RPM have to hang 2 day or more with the current weather.
