Hi everyone
I have limited space for fridge. Can someone suggest a way to search for fridge by size easily? Or maybe suggest a few models.
Max width = 700mm Max depth = 790mm
I would prefer a bigger Freezer space and dual doors if possible
Thanks!

QUOTE(illwill3 @ Oct 11 2024, 11:03 PM) Is it possible to get a good fridge with just 1-1.5k budget? There is really nothing technical about fridge anyway. Its just a cooler, and all you need to consider is whether you want a basic functioning one which is cheap or a fancy looking one but cost an arm and leg for it. I just dont understand why there are still those who are willing to spend twice the price to buy a branded bridge and hoping it would last forever vs buying an affordable one and probably replace them every 5years since everything degrade over time anyway.

Is there any brands of fridge with price range below 1.5k that have switchable doors? At my new home, fridge door opening from right will have problem as there's a wall beside it. I know some high end models from electrolux & hisense have it, but the price is way over my budget.

QUOTE(illwill3 @ Oct 11 2024, 11:03 PM) Is it possible to get a good fridge with just 1-1.5k budget? Yeah. But it won’t be big. Can probably get a China brand Hisense or TCL inverter for the price. Fridge is really worth getting inverter because it’s on 24/7.

QUOTE(koalanne @ Sep 4 2024, 02:35 PM) Hi Sifus, Looking to get a new fridge for my new place in a couple months. Requirements: - Durability - Reliability on after sales service - Looks decent Have checked out the other threads and online review and shortlisted to these 5 models below: Hitachi - 466L, RM 3000 https://shop.tbm.com.my/collections/food-pr...QUf9ji2xbyu2vAxSharp - 480L, RM 3399 https://www.esh2u.com/collections/refrigera...efcca9bd9&_ss=cElectrolux - 496L, RM 3729 https://shop.tbm.com.my/collections/food-pr...QUf9ji2xbyu2vAxElectrolux - 562L, RM 4599 https://shop.tbm.com.my/collections/food-pr...QUf9ji2xbyu2vAxSharp - 620L, RM 3899 (SBS) https://www.esh2u.com/products/sharp-sjx632...Ejcv9Z4CjDY6LdyHitachi - Seems to be a good value buy but I'm afraid it's too small in the long term. Sharp - Heard good things about Sharp and I used one previously which lasted 4 years without problems before selling it off when I moved place but not the best design wise (across all the Sharp models) Electrolux - not many reviews/comments online about its performance and after sales in Msia I prefer French door design to maximize my space usage in the kitchen, but it seems good French door designs within my budget are pretty limited. Only listed the Sharp SBS cos it's pretty cheap for the size. Appreciate any helpful advice/recommendations Hi, may i know which fridge u end up with? Is the fridge still good? I have same problem choosing rn, i liked sharp cause of their reliability but most promoter said that was 20years ago, now sharp just 2nd tier brand:o I feel like fridge nowdays like buying a car, u got badluck u got lemon unit mind sharing ur exp here

Hey guys, I am currently using a Samsung inverter fridge and now facing an issue with my freezer rubber gasket as it takes like 20-25 mins to get it loosen to open the doors. Since its been like 7-8 years using it and its perfectly fine only this issue recently occurred and I have contacted Samsung and they said its about RM150-250 for inspection excluding spare parts. Kinda hefty for just a minor issue like this for a RM2k fridge. Any recommendations to solve this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

QUOTE(bryon @ Jun 6 2025, 06:09 AM) Actually fridge is really an ancient tech. Nothing special about it other than inverter to help reduce electricity consumption. No need to buy fancy fancy one unless your house nicely decorated, want some atas feeling. People say china no good but my hisense French door almost 2 years no problem also. Fridge is simple. Don't stuff too full until block the airflow. If cook a lot, then clean the rubber seal lining regularly.

Hey peeps, I am thinking of replacing my gold star fridge that's been over 20 years due to energy cost, any recommendation for fridge or which brand is great?
Currently looking for something around 500L, saves energy, dual door (left and right), and most importantly, long lasting. (Last around 15+ years)
Budget around RM3k, no need those Smart AI or AI features, just cooling and freezing stuff only

Both running perfectly for 4-5 years already
