Sifus, I'm thinking to get the Panasonic Prime+ Premium 4 Door fridge NR-YM590YMMM, is current generation of Panasonic considered good quality? My old Pana fridge still happily chugging along and want to upgrade size, but dunno if quality of brand had dropped.

Their 3 door side by side worth considering. They are the only brand to ofter this layout / configuration. The other one I know is Hitachi but theirs is hard to find and very expensive

Also they offer 20 years warranty for their compressors now

I've also learnt from my experience since last year and these past few months surveying electrical appliances for my new house - its really all down to luck nowadays

Many here will tout Japs brands to be more reliable, but I've also seen people complaining about issues with their Panasonic, Sharp, Hitachi fridges. Unless u willing to spend more than 10k on those imported from Japan fridges then just MAYBE you would get that reliability lah

The only factor to consider about buying fridges nowadays is the less fancy features it have then you lower the probability for it to break down. Especially avoid auto ice makers.

Can recommend SBS fridges.
Size > 600L better
Dimensions and price doesn’t matter
Need reliable brand that can last long.
Too many fridges in market doesn’t know which brand better.

I have the 720L french door Hisense
https://www.hisense.com.my/product/4-door-i...20l-rq758n4asv/

The drawers to the freezer all have metal glide runners which I almost never see on other fridges. Much smoother mechanism than plastic.

Have been using my fridge for around a year now, got it during Raya promo last year at RM3.4k only.

The Hisense fridge is pretty cold when I set it to 2C and as for Pana, I have 2 friends using Pana fridges which are not cold at all even at the coldest setting (more like 6-8C only). Strangely, I also read some comments about Pana aircon in the aircon thread not being that cold (vs other brands) due to emphasizing on power saving. Perhaps something you may want to look into/dig deeper.

Hows your experience with hisense fridge? Got any issues.
Interested with this 720L fridges also, saw it and looks very nice and sturdy the inside with metal rail

Hi, I am currently looking for reversible door/right side open refrigerator. Prefer two doors 400-500L due to space limitation(W:800 x D:700).

So far I only managed to find Samsung but hesitate to buy this brand? Any other models that I could look out for? icon_question.gif

Did you buy your fridge yet? I’m also in a similar situation where a right side opening is more suitable.

No issues at all. Fridge is really cold and if set at 2C it is really 2C or colder when checked with a digital thermometer.... unlike my friend's Panasonic fridge which does not go below 7C which I suspect due to power saving priority. Check my previous posts.

Im using Electrolux (sbs). The temp seems true to the setting.
Measure with thermometer, default cooling 5c.

I think recommended to keep milk below 4C. My friend's Pana fridge at around 7C, the yoghurt was turning sour already.

I see.
Currently all my food/milk/yogurt seems ok at the default 5c.
Btw, if opened dairy, we try to 'finish' it as soon as possible.. not to keep very long..

Compressor is free but labour to check and replace is not free.

Using a Panasonic Econavi NR-B468X inverter type
All of sudden the led lights are blinking and the Econavi panel will also blink off then on again.
The fridge still cools and freezes fine for now.
It is only 4 years old. Seems a bit early to be looking for a new fridge.
Hmmm

Why not call for support then repair? For sure cheaper than buying a new one.

Different capacity and layout, at least compare with a similar model.
However Panasonic is with 5 stars energy level while I don't see any energy level mention on Elba website.
