Where you from? If within 200km, can consider drive to KL and visit the warehouse sale. French door all 3-4k+ for Japanese and Korean brands. Personally I buy Hisense for 2.4k la with glass panel.

3k is metal panel... If want glass panel, then need 4k+ for japanese and korean.

Onking from 16-18 in Subang UEP and TBM 17-18 can't remember where. If I got go TBM tomorrow, then I'll snap some picture if I find the price is cheap. Onking I went today and most are Panasonic, Hitachi, Sharp, Hisense, Toshiba and Mitsubishi.

side-by-side vs top-bottom

still in a dilemma on this, can't make up my mind on which one. i have read through google comments but still no clear conclusion can be made.  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

i believe some of you have gone through this as well. can you share which one did you selected, and if you are happy with it? what are the thing that you like and don't like?

personally i prefer top-bottom as to me it looks bigger and more flexible to store things, but wife prefers side-by-sde as it's easier to organise things  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

thanks in advance  thumbup.gif

I was deciding between a side by side vs top fridge bottom freezer vs french door design.

Side by side you get more space for freezer but less space for fridge...

I got a french door design because it made more sense as I access the fridge way more frequently than the freezer so all the items are within reach without having to squat to take items at the bottom like in the case for side by side.

I chose french door instead of top fridge bottom freezer as french door is more elegant la IMHO.

But to nitpick, the closing mechanism of french doors are not as nice as side by side.

My fridge is the Hisense 4 door 720L. Got it around RM3.4k at Harvey Norman early this year during their Raya sales

Sharp is probably the only one that didn't use that folding panel gap. Instead they had both doors closer and the rubber seal all the way up to the corner and then turn 90.

Update:

Today tried Panasonic 4doors and they are didnt use panel gap to secure the middle of the frigde closing. Instead they did what Sharp did but their rubber implementation is ugly.

Buy a brand where the manufacturer has a service centre near your place, otherwise you regret big time when comes to warranty claim.

i was looking at panasonic fridge
1.) NR-TZ601BPSM
2.) NR-BX471CPSM
3.) NR-BW530XMMM

Well, i try to list down my criteria for fridge selection,
1.) energy efficient (I assume inverter > non?)
2.) reliable
3.) top/btm freezer is fine for me
4.) big volume
5.) budget ~3k to 5k

Please do recommend/introduce any fridge icon_question.gif

Do you recommend to purchase in shopee? because I had ~RM13k worth of vouchers for shopee electronics can be exchanged from working company points.

You should measure your cabinet, minus 150-200mm from both width and height, then choose a fridge that would fit. This would allowed some allowance to push the fridge in with enough space for it to dissipate the heat from compressor and defrost cycle.

That's just a rough guide. If possible determine or shortlist which model you want first, then from there look for the manufacturers installation guide / spacing on website, different model could have different space tolerance

official stores should be ok although pricing less competitive

no matter which store you buy from, make sure they use their own delivery fleet instead of general courrier

Hi Guys, attracted by a beko model due to it claiming that it can preserve fruits/vege for 3 weeks. But seeing the comments here kinda draw me back a bit. Which brand do you guys recommend for traditional top freezer model around 370L volume? Thanks!

That is the marketing features which all fridges have it lebih kurang.

If throw it inside straight from the market, unlikely it will last long. Green leaves rot faster than 'white' leaves.

Otherwise no aunties will go to the market daily for fresh produce.
