im looking for a bottom freezer type of fridge. i think just a few brands have bottom freezers so my choice not many.
for japanese brand I only see panasonic with their inverters type. im also looking at Bosch and Fisher Paykel which are not inverters but they have ratings like A and Energy Star. I think these ratings are more reliable than just say Inverter with no actual test results right? Any comments? |

I see quite a lot of brand have this bottom freezer nowaday. Like hitachi, LG, samsung etc. Mostly those french door type fridge model, the freezer is at the bottom.for japanese brand I only see panasonic with their inverters type. im also looking at Bosch and Fisher Paykel which are not inverters but they have ratings like A and Energy Star. I think these ratings are more reliable than just say Inverter with no actual test results right? Any comments? I think the 2 main important point to check the energy star is the Watt and the fridge size. You can accumulate this spec from their website. I guess you can see which 1 is the most energy star once you put down into the spreadsheet. |

QUOTE(idoblu @ Nov 6 2012, 01:19 PM) ozak i know what i want already! FP can try Urbanez or Panamax in Dataran Sunway Kota Damansara or Benova in TTDI.anybody here got kangtau get discount for fisher paykel? did a search here in LYN but no one selling Panasonic and Mitsubishi has 2 or 3 door bottom freezer. Panasonic has up to 602l gross. My parents use the older NR651 which is for the mid-east market. They were selling here way back in 2004-2007. Mitsu bottom freezer depends on the capacity required though cos they are less than 400l. http://www.melcosales.com.my/products/refr...#bottom-freezer One feature I like about the Mitsu is their vegetable casette which includes "Vitamin factory" LED light which increases Vitamin C in vege. I won't mind changing to one next time. Anything larger will have to be E-Series Folio but they are 6 door french fridge style but single drawer casettes for freezer and vege compartment. The Z series is 5-door bottom freezer with a partitioned column so it's not technically french door but rather fridge top and bottom freezer with pillar for each section. [edit] Another bottom freezer is the Sharp Papillion or Butterfly which was seen in HN and Best Denki. They were going for RM3399 for a while. They can open left or right. Hi guys, I have been looking around for fridges, 2 door type. So far a lot of salesman recommend Panasonic or Sharp, and only 1 shop recommend Mitsubishi. Here's some take-off:
Panasonic: bottom freezer (tray type), vitamin safe, Ag+, inverter (but somewhat high power consumption compare to Sharp, Mistubishi), control panel at door handle. Sharp: top freezer, plasmacluster, Ag+, nano deodorizer, control panel at freezer door. Mitsubishi: top freezer, vitamin factory, minus ion, no control panel, known for superior motor/compressor (made by matsushita motor). Anyone who has bought a unit from these 3 brands? Any comments or recommendation? |

After looking through the database of registered goods at NEA singapore website as given by one of forumer here, the panasonic inverter models seems to be the most energy saving (based on the annual energy consumption kWh) as compared to other brands of similar capacity volume such as sharp, hitachi, mitsubishi n toshiba. Will most likely go for the inverter model 602xs.
Btw just wondering does the price of fridge go down much as tv? Coz new house still not ready yet..maybe around early to mid next year, only then will buy. Hopefully will get better price lor |
