I'm using BY602 for me the bottom freezer is really handy as the heavy stuff at the center easy to take it out. no need to bend down to take a bottle of drink for example.

normally freezer just chicken, fish, ice, ice cream etc which you use lesser than the stuff you put in non-freezer compartment.

as for BY602 it can be quite noisy when the motor working hard, you can hear the air pumping noise as well. but most of the time it's quiet and if you never open the fridge door for pro-long period motor running very low it can very quiet.

The noise is tolerate able nothing out of ordinary I guess as I read some where here the VG660 motor when running high also noisy.

Moisture vegetable case is a good features you can keep your veg longer.

I also need some comments about Toshiba models, please remember all their models don't come with compressor with inverter. I love the design with black tempered glass finish and I think it will suit my kitchen's final design more compare to the Panasonic that I ended up buying.

http://toshiba.com.my/refrigerator/gr-wg71mda.html

I heard not confirmed news all Toshiba will come with inverter this coming June, outlook still the same but with higher price

around 250 litre, possible?
anyhow, understood that the budget is not that high, but is there any brand is recommended within this range? or any brand to be avoided?

having used a bottom freezer panasonic for the past 4-5 years, i'd say it's much more user friendly than top freezer or side-by-side.

contemplating of getting another one, larger fridge with bottom freezer to put at the dry kitchen, but all costing >RM5k for models that comes with automatic ice maker.
sigh.

choices are limited to sharp top of the line model that costs RM5.5k
hitachi also have one but top freezer and comes with water dispenser. which takes space and the water reservoir only stores ~1.5litre. might as well don't have. huh

hi guys! the thread was too long to read. i have several other things to focus on so i hope you guys could help me out to save time.

currently i am eyeing on Sharp SJF99GBK. I wanted double door with automatic ice maker. Don't need to have water/ice dispenser but i really need automatic ice maker since we are used to finishing the ice but never make them again. I am attracted to this particular model (other than auto ice maker) is also for all the functions it has like plasmacluster, eco mode, deodorizer etc.

http://www.jintexelectronics.com/index.php...roducts_id=1394

This webpage gives a price of RM5699 cheapest by far. TBM Sdn Bhd offered me RM5900. Any comments on the fridge or the price?

Thx so much!

that's also the model i'm eyeing for. as far as i know, it's the only fridge with bottom freezer that comes with an automatic ice maker.
i seriously love the extra large bottom panel that's large enough for yoghurt bottles.
but yeah the price is indeed too high. at least for me. if only it's around RM4k.

at homedec i was quoted RM5.5k if i didn't take the free rice cooker gift.
