want to ask u all using FurMark to stress ur 4870? idle mine abt 56-58 then after stress test at furmark can reach 100C dam scary....i turn my fan speed to 35% already anything above the sound will be noticeable

UVD enabled hardware accelerated when play some videos. In order to do that, you have to respect DXVA standard which is the API from microsoft that allows video decoding to be hardware accelerated. DXVA media (blu-ray, hd-dvd, DVD) and videos with L4.1(HD) and L3.1(SD) encoding profiles. On top of that, you need player that support it, ie PowerDVD, wmp and mpc-hc (experimental).

hey guys, I'm using an Asus HD4870 and have installed catalyst 8.7. However, I'm only getting 500MHZ GPU clock and 950MHZ Memory Clock. Isn't it suppose to be 750MHZ GPU and 900MHZ Memory speed?

Guys, need help here. My MSI4870 keep crashing during game test in Vantage. I'm running with 60percent fan speed now, but the video driver still keep crashing on me
Any idea what causing this or can you guys able to finish the benchy without problem?
Here is my spec.

AMD Phenom 9550
MSI K9A2 Platinum
MSI R4870-T2D512
4G DDR2 ram
Vista home

Will try out more games today to see whats wrong.

cant compare with UK prices, they got VAT (value added tax).

550watt purepower.

What Brand and how much did you bought it?Plus what driver u use?

did you plug the GC properly? did you update the driver? check that out!
