make Sure you go 1st page tune the Fan Speed to 40-50%

guys alil help. i tried changeing the xml file n enable ATI overide but the fan speeds are still the same

planning to get a new gcard
choosing between 3850 and 4850.
3850 is like rm310 in forum, and 4850 around 600.
i'm using a 19' lcd only, will 4850 be overkill as the resolution supported for my lcd is only 1440x900?

me also using 19' lcd.overkill? i think not.

me too, i never think it overkill, i always feel not enough fast, so i upgrade again..

19 incher is just fine for 4850

better get a 4850, even 3870 also struggle on GRID.....

Remember to unlock the OverDrive as well and activate the profile.

What's the correct figure? I followed the 1st page details...

It took me some time to find that stupid profile.. my Windows had a few folders and within those folders, almost all of them had this ATi folder
Did you create a profile using the Catalyst Control Panel (under "Overdrive" I believe)

nah.. even if you're using a 15", it's not overkill... graphics card enhances your games graphic capabilities. Even if you use a 15" and have a crappy card, things are still gonna look "ugly". hehe... try saving up for a larger screen (20" above). I think it most certainly enhances the gaming experience.

Actually,the fan speed at the 1st page is just reference.You can set it from 1%~100% according to you preference and cooling.

oooo... so what's the recommended %?
65% seems to be like throttling it...

lulz, i use all high seting including AA
with a mere 4400+ & mah 3870, both stock
but, at 1280*1024

it depend.if u okay with the noise,u can set 70-100.
for me, 65 is just enuf & the noise is acceptable.

oh... I live by the mainroad. and my room fan is one of those from 20-30 years ago... between the noise from the road and my fan, I can barely even hear the sound from the speakers
