nahhh... i think they're feel some pressure/ other some telco to beat em... just like latest promotion from umobile which is company also known as MiTV Corporation.. like their slogan 'pay for what u use'... (not sure about that).. lol

for sure, there would be some fighting2 lah just like before, hotlink try to beat digi promotion... after all, customer get confusing... why not? they use their system and must folows the rules and also the 'trend'... its not sounds trendy when always keep to update just like 'lalang ditiup angin'... get there when the benefits goes on... duhh... (like an idiot)... mad.gif

after the war goes down... their past promises also keep lasting, and put a new prices / make any change of the terms... (thats wrote in their term which told 'customers are under agreements to follow their terms and terms change without prior notice..) **ie; last time supersaver promotion rm2 make call from 1am-1pm... then its change to; 1am-7pm... and latest supersaver charge rm3 for 60mins (1am-9am)... rclxub.gif

i think, better they get some win-win / fairplay lor... dont play2 with customer even they know that customer not have much choises (hard to say, play safe) hahahah... whistling.gif

The ad from Hotlink which says that you mush have at least RM33 in your account to subscribe is misleading.

They should be more straightforward by saying that RM33 is chargeable to activate your Hotlink 365 service.

If you are looking from Maxis angle, "you must have at least RM33" and "RM33 is chargeable", the former sounds better rather then "charge".
I would say this is the most appropriate phrase maxis must use to lessen the element of charging. If can confuse 50% of the public, then this is a very successful ad champaign.

This is not the matter of sound pleasant or not. It's more about hiding facts, releasing things only in small fine prints to avoid getting noticed.

What if some customer doesn't know and thought that if he has over RM33 and goes subscribing for it only to find out his balance getting zerorised? Will he get a refund or will Maxis reverse the thing back for him?
Considered gone already..effortless money.

It's good that they tell before hand that the charges to maintain your prepaid account for a year is RM33.
Telling people in their tv ad that you need to have at least RM33 in your account to activate the service doesn't make things clear enough, sound more like a catch.

then, what do you want maxis to say? they spend million on the advertisement of course they wanna maximize the profit, as long as no cheating.

No point using the hotlink365 plan. there is a much cheaper method than that.

if u are a low user and just to stay active only then use the following method.

1) get a extra new prepaid number

2) use share credit transfer to transfer Rm10 credit to the other number (will active again for 7 days + another 30 days to terminate) when the other number is going to terminate about 3 months time frame but the line still active can receive call.

3) each transfer cost only 50 cents. ( 1 year only transfer 4 times( every 3 month transfer) about Rm2 only) transfer to and back cost only Rm4 a year.

compare to annual fee subscription of 33 for 365 days paying for nothing right. only for subscription and some more have to reload rm30 every six months

By using the above u save alot

This bit seems clear from their website:

Once your subscription is successful, a non-returnable subscription fee of RM33 will be deducted from your account.

I have RM100++ in my prepaid, let's say if I wanna change to Hotlink365,I need to

(1)Dial *108*6# (RM33 will be taken from my balance right?)
(2)TOP UP RM30 within the first 6months(Compulsory?)
(3)Account will stay active for 1 year?

In conclusion,in 1 year I need to spend RM63 for validity?

I'm not a very heavy user,I'm using the Hotlink number because of the numbers same with my DiGi numbers. biggrin.gif
If for DiGi,no doubt,no swt,I will straight reload RM100 for 1 year validity.

I've subscribed to Hotlink 365. But I did not accumulate RM30 or more top up credits in the first six months of my 365 validity days. What will happen?

A: If you did not fulfill the condition by Day 180, your Hotlink 365 subscription (and the remaining 180 validity days) will expire immediately. After that, you will be auto-switched to Hotlink Plan. You will then have to top up to earn your validity days (e.g. top up RM10 and get 10 validity days). You can subscribe to Hotlink 365 again by just dialing *108*6# and paying the RM33 annual fee.
