This is not the matter of sound pleasant or not. It's more about hiding facts, releasing things only in small fine prints to avoid getting noticed.
What if some customer doesn't know and thought that if he has over RM33 and goes subscribing for it only to find out his balance getting zerorised? Will he get a refund or will Maxis reverse the thing back for him?
Considered gone already..effortless money.
It's good that they tell before hand that the charges to maintain your prepaid account for a year is RM33.
Telling people in their tv ad that you need to have at least RM33 in your account to activate the service doesn't make things clear enough, sound more like a catch.
then, what do you want maxis to say? they spend million on the advertisement of course they wanna maximize the profit, as long as no cheating. What if some customer doesn't know and thought that if he has over RM33 and goes subscribing for it only to find out his balance getting zerorised? Will he get a refund or will Maxis reverse the thing back for him?
