I transferred rm4000 to my trading account via online bill payment. However my trading limit only rm3975.80. How much %do they charge to transfer money to our accounts?
*
Trading limit =/= available balance

If u want to withdraw tomorrow, u will get back RM4,000.

But they only allow u to buy up to RM3,975.80 to cover the charges.

I emailed them to enquire, and this is what they replied. Just sharing, in case anyone's wondering the same thing as me:

Please take note your Available Trading Limit will be slight lower than amount deposited. The remaining balance is reserved by our system as a buffer for brokerage, clearing fees and stamp duty.

Kindly check your Trust Account Column for the actual amount of money deposited will be updated on next trading day.

The Available Trading Limit is on real-time update basis, and Trust account is on daily update basis. There is no charges on the amount deposited, your money will only be set-off when successful trading has been executed.

I wanted to place order just now but can't because the systems says that today's trading session is closed, I can only place order next day. Does this only apply to Jupiter? Or all online platforms also like ths?

There are only two approved online brokerage applets in this country .. one is ExcelForce and the other one is.. I can't remember the name lol. But both use ActiveX, and ActiveX is only used on IE in Windows smile.gif

To confirm, it is what's in the Trust Account,
regardless of what's in the Available Trading Limit, right ?

Yes, based on actual balance. But it should be calculated on daily rest basis, not on month-end balance.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Mind if I confirm on the below calculations ?

Say, I have 1k in the Trust Account, and I have not made buy/sell for this month.
i.e the 1k is balance brought forward from last month.

So, the calculation is 1k x 1.8% = RM18. Correct ?

Alright, if my account is zilch, aka zero.
And I added in my Trust Account at 25th for 1k.

How would the calculation for the month be ?

Is it;

[1] 1k x 1.8% = RM18, or
[2] 1k x 1.8% x 6/30, as the money is in the trust account for six days only ?

1.8% PER MONTH? In your wet dreams! laugh.gif

[1] RM1K x 1.8% x 1/12 lar tongue.gif
[2] Correct but have to apportion by 1/12
