Oh my god, Ana has lost to Coin in 3 sets... Very disappointing. I thought she would win the match after coming back in the 2nd set.. but she's seriously not at her best at the moment..... Missed quite a few forehands... sad.gif WTA No.1 seems so weak.

Murray, Wawrinka, Monfils, Safina, Venus and Blake all won today.

If Nadal loses... means the guy who beat him is seriously good.. Frankly I haven't seen Nadal really off form yet... Even if his service not working he has the solid ground strokes to cover up

I don't think Ryler De Heart has the ability to beat Nadal either... These top players in men are really consistent, Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. Normally they don't lose before quarterfinals in grand slams compared to WTA players.. Emm..

Lolz, tomorrow will be Saturday and i get to watch all the US Open matches.
Some really good matches coming up tomorrow such as Zheng Jie vs Jankovic, Roddick vs Gulbis, Davenport vs Bartoli. Federer and Djokovic are playing their 2nd round matches as well. =)

Yeah I couldn't believe it either. Did you watch the match? I didn't but I'm assuming Ana made loads of errors and thus, giving away many free points. She hasn't been her usual self since the win at Roland Garros.. sad.gif sad.gif

Yeah she was making many errors. But between 2nd set to early of 3rd set, i thought that her forehand had come back..... but then errors came back and so the upset.

=(

I hope Jankovic will do better..... Its very disappointing.

Nadal won, as expected, easily.

Davenport is abit too old for US Open isn't it? blink.gif blink.gif No offense, she's playing well, but i don't think she can win it. Lets see whether she can beat the chubby Bartoli.... Saw Bartoli playing, looks like abit fitter now.

I think Williams sisters have a big chance.. They may face each other in quarters, and who come out from that match will win US Open.

Or perhaps Dementieva or Safina... they are the players on fire.. Mauresmo winning would be COOL. tongue.gif

hahah yeah she is a bit too old and her chances are pretty slim but the americans like her more than they likes the williams sisters... so i hope the crowd can spur her biggrin.gif ... jus hope she can reach as far as she can go... something like at least semis will be nice for her

i find her a very humble person smile.gif.. there is nothing fancy about her play but nice person she is... just my thoughts about her...

Nothing fancy? Well, she has one of the sweetest groundstrokes... very smooth.. Bartoli will have a tough time playing against her. But both are slow in terms of movement.. so it would be interesting.

Lolz, welcome. smile.gif

Nice day of tennis. Got abit of rain at the night sessions... but its just short ones.

Zheng Jie is really nice to watch.... Well, not when she serves of course.. Its heart breaking to save match points then unable to hold serve.. Same with Bartoli vs Davenport. Davenport broke Bartoli then got broken... At one point she served 3 double faults!!

Gulbis was very impressive at the first set against Roddick, then slowed down.. He's young though.. Roddick won the match at 1AM in US.

And also Tsonga, beating Moya in 4 sets... Nice way to come back from injuries.
