I see many ppl saying Federer's shirt looks like the UPS employees. Lolz.

Cool to know that CH816 is fully showing US Open. Means we get to watch the replay during evening... smile.gif

I woke up at 4AM and watched Safin vs Spadea. Safin was very angry at 1 point because the umpire called foot fault and led him losing the 4th set... smile.gif But he used the anger and beat Spadea in the 5th set.

I read about Ivanovic nearly losing her match.. Glad that she went through that. Haas beat Gasquet in 5 sets.. Shocking.

Lolz, no wonder i couldn't access the channel 816 this morning. You need to put your decoder to standby mode for a while.. then only you will have the US Open channel. =)

I duno whether Channel 811 or Channel 816 will be showing tonight's action. =) Now can 24/7 tennis. Lolz!

Whatever it is, i'm happy enough that Supersport actually produce a channel just for US Open. Hope they do it with next year's French Open and US Open again.

Currently watching Jankovic vs Arvidson and I must say that Jelena isn't doing very well. She's actually winning quite a lot of her points through Arvidson's errors and Jelena allowed her 6 straight points in the 2nd set's tie break. They're currently playing the 3rd set.

Anyway, I read somewhere that during Ana's match yesterday that there was a fan who shouted "There's a reason you're number 1!" and Ana picked up her game from then on. Anyhow I'm glad she's through to the next round smile.gif

@retrosnare: Fortunately I'm on holiday so I can watch the good matches. How bout you? You're really not sleeping?? tongue.gif

Ivanovic is still recovering from the thumb injury.. She withdrew from Olympics because of that... The first round match will only help to give her more match practice. smile.gif smile.gif

I didn't watch the Jankovic match.. but it looks like its a tough match for her. Can you tell me more bout that?

I did watch the Djokovic vs Clement match. Wasn't quite exciting.... Clement doesn't have the firepower in his shots to challenge Djoko. But Djoko is having an ankle injury? blink.gif

wow...
did any of u guys...watched the final game of the day...
between Roddick and Santoro...

during the last game...
the crowd was just too noisy...
I feel like they didn't respect Santoro at all...

Santoro seems to lose his focus that time...
and I can see that Santoro don't even bother to return the last serve of the match...
he's quite frus... tongue.gif

Last year Blake vs Santoro was certainly much more exciting than this year's Roddick vs Santoro. tongue.gif

Roddick seems to overpower Santoro today... Will have to watch it later to know what really happened.

Can't wait to watch the Jankovic match.. Seems like a typical dramaful Jankovic.

Federer is playing against Thiago Alves on Saturday (US' Friday) smile.gif

Yeah, the same thumb injury which since Wimbledon is still bugging Ana and it the effects can be seen in her gameplay. And like you said, I'm hoping she goes far in the US Open to get those match practice she needs. smile.gif nod.gif

The Jankovic match? I watched until she was 2-0 up in the 3rd set because I had to watch Arsenal's match. tongue.gif Anyway, Jelena was struggling in that match and she won quite a lot of her points through Arvidson's errors. And Jankovic always looked in trouble whenever Arvidson decides to go on the offensive although we all know that Jelena has very good court coverage skills. Basically, it was a match that could've gone either way because none of them really controlled the game entirely and I was actually surprised that Arvidson didn't come out stronger in the 3rd set after winning the 2nd.

I think a more experienced player instead of Arvidson could have defeated Jelena because Arvidson didn't convert a few break points that would have changed the outcome of the entire match.
