RM1200.....SIA/MAS/ANA/JAL all the same... it is just that ANA announcing to reduce surcharge by next Jan 09 flights. reduced by RM400 if not mistaken, but their price is still expensive since the co-share with SIA (KUL - SG).

yup...got the all inclusive price for both ways (RM1114 per way i think). only thing now is i made a slight mistake when booking. My wife is now a "Mr". Called MAS to rectify the mistake. still awaiting a confirmation email on the my ticket reissuing, but luckily didn't charge me penalty. sweat.gif

once this is done, i'll apply for the visas.

Due to Global recession and Japan is one of the Asian country to get hit quite badly, i heard now that japan need more tousirt to visit their country. So the entry to Japan is not that serious anymore.

Is it ok to apply for visa on my own rather than going thru the travel agents? Will it make a difference? Since I'm going on a free and easy trip. As for the bank book/statement, I'm using a joint account with my wife. Will that be a problem also?

I have thought of going myself too. But a lotsa ppl told me to give to travel agency to do. they claim its easier wor...i dunno la...i dont wanna waste time. So i give rm 40 to Travel Agency and settle it. And i got mine APPROVED! smile.gif

Not going to Japan anytime soon, however, if i travel to Japan, i expect that i should travel like...Kanto area (Tokyo), around Nagoya, and Kansai area (Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe)...

Of course, railway museum is a MUST!

Either by yourself or through agency, both are the same biggrin.gif
There won't be a problem if joint account.
Just give them a call to confirm.
