hedgehog is always a wild animal, so if u have tamed her, then u dun continue tame her like dun play with her, she will be back to her wild side..
thats why when u left her for a week, she has forgotten ur smell and dont recognize u anymore...
they have small brain la, cannot remember many things..
u should play with her at least once a day..
if u left for a few days u should put ur old shirt inside the cage so that she will remember u when u get back

Em, my bo chai injured leg had recover back 90% rclxm9.gif
But I feel he look like weak and no energy to stand like that, but this 1 is hard to see, sometime see him like walk very fast stand stady.... sometime just fall down and hard to getting back....

I have change the back2nature bedding and it look like hard to let him walk like that T-T.... somemore sometime those paper stick on his "boy area".

About the eatting.... really less to eat ( this 1 also.... when he was ok, sometime won't eat sometime eat until cleaning.. )

Now I try to feed calcium for my bochai, hope it will help biggrin.gif

i just got one too!! last friday actually...on the first day itself my Kookie was really active, so i played alot with her smile.gif she didn't hiss though...but licked my hands alot...i dunno...im new so my experience may not be helpful..huhu but when my Kookie does that hissing n pointing, i would call her name and would put my hands in front of her to smell (but slowly move away from her) then when she's ok i scoop her up with both hands smile.gif

You shud let the hedgie settle down in new environment first..Leave him alone for 2-3days..put ur wore clothes inside..

After 2-3days, u can started to handfeed mealworms or kibbles.

my pepper seems to have very good appetite... she can finish 15-20 kibbles at one go... is that normal? should i feed more?

also, i don't see her coming out much to play at night (7pm - 11pm)... after that time i don't know coz i'm sleeping already....

another thing, when i hold her, her spine like poking a bit on my palm (not rolled into a ball but just feel a bit pokey).... then my palm feels itchy for quite some time... do you all feel itchy? or i'm having some allergy reaction?

15-20 kibbles? erm....i don count the kibbles that i feed..becoz different brand has different size of kibbles....How many tablespoon u feed?

7-11pm is still early for hedgie..... Most of them come out after 12... some will only come out when you off the light.

It's our skin reaction towards the quills, this happen on everyone. Jus make sure u wash ur hand after playing with him. biggrin.gif

about 1.5 tablespoons... feeding the 8-in-1 Hedgehog diet...

also i think whenever i put my finger near her nose.. she like want to open her mouth to bite... is it because she is still not familiar with me? T-T

Pepper still don't sleep in the hidebox... keep sleeping under the wheel T-T
