he's very tame to me and my gf..we take care of him sama2..1 nite at my home and the other at my gf's..
and he's friendly to others too..
a few months ago he is very skinny, dont eat much..
i brought him to the vet and the doctor introduce me to 1 kitten food that he sells..and its working..he now gains weight and i loves to see him fat biggrin.gif

i got 2 question though..is it ok if i kacau him during his sleep?but its only from 6-10pm la..

and i'm thinking to buy him a new cage bcoz he not fit for current cage..is it ok if i use big plastic container?

just got back from penang, and i bought joni his girlfriend..4 rm140 only..he was so excited he woke up and kissed her and try to mate with her....
since she 's too young to mate, i separate them..
and i also bought the plastic container..its very spacious for him n her 2 play..

i'm giving her name jeni biggrin.gif

will upload pics of jeni later

i know..thats why i separate them with blockers in the middle of the container..
for plastic container users, do u guys poke hole on the side of the container to give some breathing space?
and my hedgies cannot walk well on the surface..it has no grips..how?

no i think its not wobbly syndrome..because joni also experience the same thing..i think the surface too slippery for them to walk on..how u guys get the surface become not slippery?

i prefer the live mealies...
coz its juicy n still have the pure protein...
*
live mealies is ok, but make sure u dont give him/her too much if u dont have thing for him/her to exercise..
it will cause them fat and problems later..
live meals is advisable to give as a treat only

oh same like me..i study at shah alam and thankfully i live in rented house so easy to care for hedgehog..
tapi xnk breedkn lg coz nk fully understand the behaviour and such..
very tricky for me coz duduk ipoh..and the vet macam xtau apa2 sgt bout hedgies..
everytime ask him sumthin he refers back to his book..biasa la bukan exotic punya vet

@keziaxo

hedgehog is always a wild animal, so if u have tamed her, then u dun continue tame her like dun play with her, she will be back to her wild side..
thats why when u left her for a week, she has forgotten ur smell and dont recognize u anymore...
they have small brain la, cannot remember many things..
u should play with her at least once a day..
if u left for a few days u should put ur old shirt inside the cage so that she will remember u when u get back

maybe u dont wash ur hand thoroughly after eating or such..bcoz hedgies are extremely sensitive to smell..especially smell from food...
yesterday i eat durian and wash hand not thoroughly, joni and jeni tried to nibble..geli loh..haha

@ReBeLLioN
