hello! im going to be getting my hedgehog tomorrow at 3.
i plan to get the cage & stuff before that.
im not not sure what kind of cage to get! help!
i was wondering if it would be alright to get those metal cages? and then have a litter thing on the bottom? or should i get one thats closed off at all sides? (toyogo type of thing) and if i do, how would i clean it?

just brought my hedgie home. he's sitting in a box with a towel over it...
nothing i read could have prepared me for the hissing, the spiking of spikes and the constant pooing! but its still adorable, and i just brought it home, so maybe it takes time...

my kakak is freaked out by it. she thought it was interesting at first but then she tried to touch it, it hissed at her so shes scared now...

btw, i forgot to mention that when i got it, the owner told me it was 2 yrs. old.

well, my friend rented a house that the owner had moved out of recently, and he said he found a hedgehog in the cage there. so, we call the owner and she says she dont want it anymore, that we can give it away or do whatever we want with it. so i decided to keep it, and i callled her to find out how old it was...

this is penny! i got her last week. she's still hissing at me at the moment...every night i let her run around my garden...when i pick her up, she starts poking me with her nose..

hello! i think my hedgie has mites :/ what sort of flea powder am i supposed to use? i hardly think theres one made for hedgehogs. can i use one for puppies?

my hedgie is 2 years old...will it ever like me?

OH MY GOODNESS...my brother just dropped the hedgie while standing up!!!!!!! and its nose is bleeding and theres blood on its ears too!!!!! its still walking around now in my garden but im sort of worried about it and its going to the wall and not moving..but i keep petting it and it hisses and goes to sleep!!! my parents arent home yet, i dont know what to do!!!! help me!!!

i put it back into the cage and its sleeping with its spikes up...im kinda worried my parents arent home yet..but ive already called the vet for appointment later...

my hedgie's doing good! acting normal...spiking up all the time, as per usual and seems to pooing an awful lot!!!

heres new pictures of penny! sometimes i forget how much she hisses and start petting her...then she hisses at me again! but shes so cute, so i forgive her

it doesnt hurt WHILE holding it, but afterwards your hands feel all prickly, like pins and needles. yours is so cute! i wish mine as small like yours, i would feel much braver about holding it. how old is yours?

can i give my hedgie different food? like fruits or vegetables or anything? i think its time for a food tester for Penny...she needs more variety. what fruits/vegetables should be included?

penny isnt hissing at me anymore? is there something wrong with her? i took her out of my cage today and when i picked her up she didnt even hiss or curl into a ball. i would be happy but i have a feeling that theres something wrong...she used to despise me, hahah, hissing everytime i walked near.

penny likes worms!!! oh thank goodness, i was wondering what i was gonna do with the whole bowl of worms that i bought, but its good that she likes it!!!

im scared that when i pick her up, she turns into a ball and when i put her into the water she will stay in a ball and not come up to breathe?!??

they dont do that right...my friend put that idea in my head so im scared..
