yes, I did ask him....i am not worried abt dvd region.....I specifically asked...BD region free??!?!?! and said I am not very convinced.

i dont have any of my region locked BD.

this ryan's card says he is from Hoe Huat Electrical Enterprise...which makes the statement even more questionable.

as for the pioneer comment earlier.... lx71 and lx91 are not BD live compliant, are they?

tvix, no need to worry about any region
*cabut

US bd player would need power transformer.....

eh rx330.....tvix is another thing lah.....for it to fulfill your 'no need to worry abt any region' you'd need BD drive to read and rip the BD.

Good machine, lousy loading time....need min 1.5 mins to load BD  sweat.gif
those with BD LIve & BD-J lagi chiak lat....

titles with BD-Live affect this Pioneer 51 model? that model isnt 2.0 compliant isnt it? I thought only when the BD-Live function is enabled...then you get a slower loading time.

BD60 only bitstream??

i thought the previous generation of BD35 and 55 are doing both bit-streaming and LPCM

i am quite satisfied with my BD35...so I'd vote for BD60 at RM1450...i think that decent price in Msia.

Nope....only bit stream.
So u will need a receiver with internal decoder to decode it....else u get the core only.

this link seems to say BD60 does both bitstream and LPCM, right?

Audio
Audio D/A Converter 192kHz/24bit
DTS-HD Decode and Bitstream Output
Dolby TrueHD Decode and Bitstream Output

hmm.gif  so it only lack the 7.1 analog out compared to BD80?
*
if its the same logic as BD55 vs BD35....then the BD80's difference to the BD60 is the 7.1analog output.
