i believe its for a storage device which you'll need if you're gonna use the BD-live function.
read the manual lah... because sony limits it to thumb drives only (cannot put external HDD)...am wondering if pioneer is doing the same This post has been edited by rthj: Jul 6 2009, 07:04 PM |

QUOTE(ronnt88 @ Jul 6 2009, 02:06 PM) aiyo sorry ler dude... read manuals?? err.... ok, will see... hmmm...seems it is implying that ext HDD can be used...anyways, i don't use bd-live also... only have one ethernet cable which is connected to PS3 so if there comes a time for bd-live, will use ps3 i guess... Added on July 6, 2009, 7:21 pm ok ... becoz of u, i went & read the farking manual it says : the data downloaded with BD-live can be stored on device connected to USD port. (u r rite) The USB devices tat can be connected to player are : - USB 2.0 compatible memory devices or hard disks - FAT16 or FAT32 file system, min 1GB capacity (2GB or more recommended) Note : - Devices formatted with a file system other than the above cannot be used. Such devices may however be usable if they are formatted from the player - external sotrage devices may not be recognized if they contain multiple partitions - some external sorage devices may not operate with this player -- operation of external storage devices is not guaranteed thanks ronnt88... for the record, i am told quite often to RTFM as well...hehehe |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Jul 7 2009, 03:51 PM) sure.. and while we are at that, lets get one LCD TV, one Plasma, one projector as well.. then we can have all the options involved.. yeap....that is right, how you know my setup? but we're talking abt BD players here though. why bother with 1.5TB....the 2TB is available already isnt it? |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Jul 24 2009, 09:44 PM) one thing I observed is that music videos/concerts are cheaper than normal movies. whether they are BDs or ori DVds.. (except those japan stuffs la) those HK/Taiwanese concert BDs are more expensive than movies...see, arremie.....4pcs/wk...hehehe.....resistance is futile! if i remember correctly, I had 2 BDs for like the first 6months after i got my my PS3...of which one was FOC from purchasing the PS3 This post has been edited by rthj: Jul 25 2009, 03:31 PM |

QUOTE(robinlim @ Aug 5 2009, 04:50 AM) I used it for my handycam there as well i think the voltage is not the only thing you need to look out for. you need to make sure the device is not drawing more current than the rated output of your adapter.as long as the power adaptor of the device can accept 100V~240V range u can use it anywhere in the world |

speaking of display in HT, this tagline by Blu Ray association (i think its them who came up with this) is quite true as well..
"Without Blu Ray, your HDTV is JUST a TV" |

no one denies that it is a tv or display, depends on how you perceive it.
think the idea of the tagline means that it wont utilize its full potential without blu ray. thought that message is obvious enough. |
