wow...now we can kungfu the demons back to hell with monk!
*
Hell yea.

Monk is like the only original class in D3.

Definitely gonna kung fu the demons back to hell.

Nuuuuuu~ barbarian FTW~

anyway hope to see more class! maybe a ninja(meh monk should already fill that spot already), sum 1 with range class aka amazon/ranger/archer. Clockwork smith~ aka engineer... building GS never gets old heh
*
Engineer would be awesome.

Make sure the Barbarian will say: " Clockwork Smith/Engineer is a kredit to team!!" tongue.gif

Huh?

Monk feels more original,in terms of looks and character, while Barbarian,Wizard and Witch Doctor feels like a remake or update of their D2 counterpart.

Just my 2 cents.

I would say it's more like the remake of assassin. Seems like the Character can use claw.
*
Yes,but he feels different from the arts etc.

Man~ only 5 class? no sim-healing class? there's gotta have atleast 1 hybird class with healing capabilities.

As of now, they lack class with range capabilites, and no more knight in shining armor?
*
Thats what they say last time.Maybe got more le.

Blizzard do need to give a class on range, like Amazon.

Ah I see.

But there is a Monk class in Diablo 1 expansion set.
*
Oh.

QUOTE(JuzJoe @ Aug 23 2009, 01:35 AM)
i juz watched 12 minutes gameplay footage and it gave me that impression that the multiplayer experience is gonna be very linear; hack & slash. Every1 does their thing; spam ur skills, that sort of thing.

It seems that there is no structure, every class doesnt the same thing, deals damage. No set of specific class  function like ur basic holy trinity; tank, healer, damage dealer sort of thing.

Sure, its diablo where the previous 2 games are also hack & slash. But shouldn't blizzard do sumthing different for the 3rd sequel?

::edit::
Hack & slash shouldnt be a problem for single player mode, cause you're basically alone and there's no 1 else to assist or compliment ur skills/moves/spells.  Juz that i feel multiplayer/ co-op mode should require alil more structure to the game.
*
It's suppose to be like that as they are trying to make the game playable on SP.If witch doctor is a support class character, how would you play it on SP then?

I dont mind that as it's even better as i could play my characters on SP when my internet is down.

Is it only me, I feel that the Monk cut scene is not that nice in terms of quality of the graphic.
*
Because it's using the in-game engine to render.

Unless u guyz miss the point i made above, I did said that in single player mode, the hack & slash play style is ok cause; and I said it again, u are alone and u dont have any1 else to assist u or compliment ur skills/moves/spells.

And why are we bring Fallout 3 into the picture here? Hell I Enjoy playing Fallout 2 way better than Fallout3. Besides i didnt say that Blizzard should change diablo 3 into an FPS/RPG genre nor did I say that Blizzard should change the game dramatically. I juz said that the multiplayer mode should be alil more complex/structured than juz simple hack n slash, which has been the same since the 1st sequel of the game.

But than again its not like Blizzard is done with this game anyway, so there's definitely more stuff are being put into the game as we speak.
*
I dont see why you need more "structure" into the game on MP.

People working together to slash some monster is still fun.Looting together seems good to me.

Besides, dont forget Blizzard has also tried to make the missions more varied, which will make it much more fun.

Well, that's because you're over-expecting something that will be far greater than what D2 had offered. Most of the over-hyped games fell to this because they make their fans have unreal expectations from the game.

I think D3 will be a great game and should be better than D2 from what I've seen in the videos. It makes me want to buy this game so much hehe! biggrin.gif

Only thing I'm complaining is the graphics. Too much Crysispoison I guess, it makes me feel D3 is too bland and TQ-like.
*
Blizzard still got 1 year+ of development to go.

Lets rewind back to last year and look at Blizzcon 2008 SC2's screenshots. Then, compare it with Blizzcon 2009 SC2's screenshots.SC2 had lots of graphics polishing since a year ago. Now,it just look awesome, while it looks a bit cartoony last year.

I believe D3 will go through the same process. They are still adding stuff and at least one more class to the game.Cant expect them to do graphics polishing when the core of the game still not set yet.

i think LAN is always been a huge part of diablo & it shud b there in diablo 3.

removing LAN coz pirates is just not fair for ori users.
v r getting punish for the problem.
it's like saying banned manufacturing cars coz there r car theft.

haiz.......if ISP in m'sia r great, i dun mind.........but sadly, our choice of ISP is between turtle & snail.........
*
They did mention about the pseudo-LAN,where i think you only need to connect to Battlenet once and you can go for LAN latency.

Whats there to complain then?

yeah...they are trying to fix the latency, so i wouldnt worry that much from the shock i got first time from SC2 no lan thingy.

but seriously, they need a system that works like steam. not removing stuff from the game.
*
Yeah, they just need to be like Steam, and regularly giving free stuff like KOTH mode in TF2.

Those who want to pirate would think twice before they go pirated,as they are missing out new content.

Reward the legitimate gamers, not punish them.

All classes in Diablo and Diablo 2 are meant to be a soloist, there's no playing support or healer unless a player himself/herself wants to.

When low in health, there's always an option to run away, drink potion, or just save & exit to save themselves from the embarrassment or insanity (hardcore mode, da ?)
*
Exactly, all the classes should be able to solo from the beginning.

There are no classes dedicated for support.

we still haf flying spaghetti monster.. there's no win to win pirates

This game will be release after SC2 i guess.... and most likely after all the sc2 expansion with Protoss and Zerg... then they will have time to work on D3 completely.... then Beta testing again.... then another year.... by the date it release...it will be like 2015 or 2017.

SC2 assume release next year (since still no news tis year)
then expansion of Protoss or Zerg (each use one year time like all those Blizzard expansion)
they goes 3 years time
then beta testing and debuging on D3 summore another years goes by...

I am getting too old for games by then.
*
Wont be that far back la.

Making people to wait 2 years is bad enough.

Probably 2011,i think.

That's just silly, why would they delay one whole year not to overlap games. They can easily afford to release their games in Spring.
*
The game is not even done yet.How can they release it?
