releasing it after just releasing sc2 will not maximize their profit.. gamers dont have the time to play so many games at a time and it will put down the 'hotness' of the game.. its the same as other marketing strategy... even if u haf a product better than your earlier product u would let ppl buy th eolder product first and come out with the newer one to boost sales.. u dun let your own product compete with each other
I dont see whats wrong with releasing it after a year SC2 release. The hype have died down and people are looking for new games after 1 year SC2 release.Besides, most gamer's attention span are damn short these days. They probably start looking for a new game after they finish SC2 campaign,or at least the expansion. The percentage of gamers playing actively on Battlenet is much lesser compare to the total number of sales of a game.Plus, both SC2 and D3 are aimed at different market. One is for hardcore RTS.The other one is for RPG.Most gamers who is buying SC2 wont be bothered to buy D3,and vice versa.
If Blizzard thinks like you,we'll probably only see their next gen MMO on year 2020 then.If they really intent to release at 2015,why the hell the announce it last year then? Another Duke Nuken Forever wannabe?
