Hi Everyone, Greetings from Thailand. Today i just went to the Tamiya Shop in Bangkok. Quite alot of items u cant find in Singapore. Price is slightly cheaper than in SGP. Really had a hard time trying to understand what they trying to say. But however, i should be ready for the race next Sunday. Actually they did print the Track layout for me. After looking at the track settings, There ain't any obstacles except for the Hump. Now what i am worry about is how am i going to bring the best out of my Motor. You are only allowed to use Atomic tuned, Rev and torque fopr the STD race. And Hyper dash 2 for the Open race.

The diff between the two races is that For the Std race, Only 3 pairs of rollers allow. And You have to put on the O-RING if you are using the Aluminium rollers.

Any advice?

Thank you bro David Tamiya for the advice.

I just counted the number of pieces for the track. Its 132 pieces for the competition.

Actually you can join BOTH races, Just that this is my 1st time racing in Thailand and its 3 cars racing simultanously.
I was thinkning maybe join the STD race.

Is there a need to add brakes? There is only one Obstacle and thats the Hump, Besides, after that hump you have like 12 straights. Please advice regarding the need for the brakes.

Oh yes and there is this mini incline where they use to tilt 4 pieces of curve tracks i dunno what isit call, but the semi circle is tilted 45 degrees up. The Thais call it the Bank way. Is this consider an obstacle as well?

This is my 1st time playing Speed track.

You need to run in your mottor if its new to make it seasoned. For normal motor there are usually 2 piece of carbon at the metal brush inside the motor so pro motor should have also. Just run your motor without load using pretty weak battery say (1.4) and run till the battery turns flat. Then redo it again using slighly stronger battery. This will shape the carbon piece inside the brush to give better connectivity and hence your motor can be faster...dun really know how to explain clearly...just my 2 cts...also rmb to spray some oil before race but i will suggest keeping away from wd40.

Hi...everybody:). I'm a new guy here. when i saw this forum site, it really attracted me, i was an old fan of this mini 4wd during the early 2000. I still have my two favourite speed machine. The CLEAR BLUE LIGTHNIG MAGNUM and NEOTRIDAGGER ZMC. Their both are still in very good con, only i removed d motor coz not working anymore. I will post a pic of it to share with all you guys.

Hello guys... my name is antoro... and I am fans of mini4wd from Indonesia.. smile.gif and actually I am selling few of mini4wd products here in Indonesia and also in the internet....

I want to clarify the statement of my friend (indonesian monster) on his previous post about 200km/h speed.. .please re-read again you will find that its on drag race event... the track of drag race is usually only contain stright lane.. I dont know about the motor that can run 200km/h but I myself usually build a motor that on speed car can run > 120km/h with sanyo 700 batteries.. (on speedchecker)

also there is question in the previous post that questioning how to measure the speed over 99km/h in speedchecker... ? the speedchecker have 2 mode of measurement.. the speed in km/h and another is distance mode.. in the second mode you will be able to set the distance start from 300 m .... 290 m.... 280m ... and so on.. when you start your car in speedchecker.. it will count how many time that your car need to run along 300 m... and viola!! by using elementary math operation you will find that 300m devide by running time (s) then multiply the result with 3600 s/hour and devide again with 1000m/km you will fine the speed of your car.... smile.gif

for ex : t is your running time along 300m lets try 8s

speed = ( 300/t ) x (3600/1000)
speed = (300/8) x 3,6
the result is = 135 km/h

I hope it useful ... smile.gif

i bought atomic tuned pro motor 2-3 weeks ago then tried it out..i dont know whether it could have been my emperor's stock spike tyres but it looked rather slow i thought i made a very bad purchase.... but i havent season the motor yet...the metal brushes inside are the standard ones rite? i bought some copper terminal brushes today for my other motor..if i change it for the atomic tuned, do you think it will be better?

nice to see another racer join this forum and thanx for the calculatins
putting the car on the dyno to check the speed is totally different then calculating its run on the actual track where it have drag , resistance and surface grip.
have u measure your speed basad on the length of the track with the fastest timinig done that maybe faster or slower.
long time ago we used to play speed here also but the way we calculate is different .our aim is the go as many pcs of track we can in a second.
example
total 200 pcs of track multiply by total laps devide by the timing to get the total
200 multiply 3 devide by 25sec total 24pcs of track per second

now in china they have gone 53 pcs per second
the fastest i reacall here is 43 pcs per sec if i am not mistaken that was i think 11 years ago

can i know more about the race format and rules for speed race in indonesia
i hope the learn new things

its so easy bro,

put it oat the place u want to measure the car speed.
n den the only thing u need is just calculate. . . .
