velodyne impact 10 and cht10r? which one better?
heard the cht10r is few years older model than the impact series..
*
Old doesn't mean it's not better. CHT-R series are still in production. the SPL series are even older I believe.

You need to look at the specs, like Htkaki said, the Impact is the new entry level series from Velodyne. Hence the lower price. nod.gif

Whoa, I have a feeling it won't be just a visit. Unlike myself, always visiting, but almost every time came back empty handed. sweat.gif

Seriously, I wont hesitate to part money for Fathom f113 if I have the moolah to splurge.

Then again, my setup wont be the current 'affordable' setup that I am having now.

How is it like compare to Velodyne DD15??? Almost the same price, I think the Velodyne just slightly more expansive.

Based on craigsub's ranking .. DD15 should be a no match for Fathom since even DD18 is ranked lower than Fathom113... the rankings is based only on performance only... so the looks doesnt count here... to see how the scoring works read the link http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=768150

Just write an email to SVS, the manager himself will reply to you. He will help you anyway he can.

He replied to all my emails, no matter how small the question is. Their customer service is one of the best I've experienced, so sad I did not end up buying.

bro no doubt svs is very helpful.. but the problem lies on our customs.. if u wanna pay full tax so that our country can buy more submarines and build more university that your son cant get into then it would be a breeze... but if u prefer to get some discounts then it depends on your luck.. 9 out of 10 officers would give u a discount at a agreed price.. sometimes it worth it .. sometimes its not.. depends on your luck

That's why I didn't finalize my order. Paying tax is one thing, but the hassle of going to Sepang to get it cleared is what really stopped me. tongue.gif

My respect to you bro that you survived the process. notworthy.gif

Bro, this is a really 'vintage' sub. I knew abt Strata III, which is abt a decade old. I would give it a miss as old sub tend to run out of puff.

Impact is marketed as entry level sub. Hence, the price and performance is lower than CHT series. On paper, Impact-10 loses out to CHT-10R
*
thx bro..in terms of spec CHT series is better, can see that from the weight of the sub and the material used..spec too..i do like the CHT-12
taking $$$ into account, i ended up wit impact 12 tongue.gif
