Since the 1GB X2 499 only so at least the 512MB version(HD4870,Non Dual)should be $250 lor?To Balance it?

really hope they use a different kind of heatsink...bcoz if its the same as 3870x2 its really bodoh
1 gpu sure hotter than the other 1 or else hav to wait for non reference again

i think it is better 4 both gpu use 1 long heat sink 4 better cooling

Its Dual Cooling.I Prefer Dual Slot Cooler with 2 Fans on top if each Die.

hope thermalright, artic, zalman etc can produce good hsf for dual gpu cards. Im willing to spend up to rm250 for 3rd party R700 hsf.

i dun think RM250 goin to make a good dual slot cooler for RV700 looking at how hot is 4870 now..........

3870x2 heat sink is actaully quite simple design, only solid block with fins, hope they took Asus 9600GT matrix design to their 4870 X2 with all those heat pipe and may be saphire own vapour chamber thing to bring the temp down

so how fast will it be available in malaysia?my source told me end of the month which is not good enough for me,dont tell me they are waiting for the pc fair to launch it...
anyway those who know anything just pm me i want it fast,i know suplier will keep stock earlier then the launch date...

Dual card will not be ideal solution.Rather go for strong single card and single card also produce less heat as well. rclxms.gif

Then go for HD 4870 X2 lor.Its a single card but have 2 Die instead of 9800GX2 which has 2 Card.Each card has its each die.

4870x2 is a nice product.. but until they rectify the fan speed/control/heat issue.. i won be buying it..

my experience with 3870x2 is not that pleasant

Hmmm, I thought the plan to use the diff heatsinks as compare to 3870x2??
