hey, can someone tell me how to install JAD or JAR file for my C905? also, having problem connecting to my bluetooth handsfree (brand Motorola H500). anyway with the same problem? find the bluetooth connection not stable.

Added on January 19, 2009, 11:39 pmcan someone tell me what version of opera mini to download. cant find C905 in the list.!

1. Installing JAD/JAR files
Put the .jad or .jar files into your memory card in the OTHER folder. Then access it via ur phone and open it. It will then prompt to install and ask u where u want to install it - Games or Applications

2. Opera Mini
Use ur browser and go to http://www.operamini.com (better use WIFI rather than 3g because its free). It will give u a link to download opera mini. Wait for a few minutes and install. I just did it earlier at Old Town Kopitiam

3. Bluetooth Handsfree

This one I cant help you. Im still trying to connect my handsfree. Then again, that handsfree had problems syncing with my dad's Samsung in the beginning till he send it to a shop. I suggest you pop by any handphone shop and ask nicely how to sync ur handsfree. They shouldnt charge it for u - takkan la so stingy sweat.gif

The price that they are offering is already considered one of the lowest, what else could you ask for ? biggrin.gif

Seriously speaking, I think Chris of Atlantis should consider starting a sales thread in the Garage Sales. Bring more fame to his Atlantis SS2 shop. At the price he's offering, its really competitive.

Don't forget, few shops further down Atlantis is EagleCom and the last I know, they are also competing in prices too. Along that shop lots, only this 2 shops I see lots of customer. Others are very quiet.

Just activated my wayfinder navigator. Was using it to get to work. Very accurate although not as powerful as those dedicated GPS like Garmin.

Better use the wayfinder mapdownloader to download the maps to your phone using your PC to save on 3G connection to download the maps.

You got another bluetooth handsfree to test with? I'm currently using my old SE bluetooth handsfree and there is no problems with it.

Yeah, I find it nice too. But a year subscription for SEA region is around RM250. Kinda expensive. I was hoping the rates were around RM1xx. Good that I bought a Garmin to solve all my headaches navigating with a handphone.

I saw that 36 months subscription for 69euros (RM300++) with free GPS receiver worth 79euros.

Anyway my Garmin is coming soon tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

I tested out the google maps yesterday. quite accurate - then again i was in the heart of KL. Perhaps getting constant internet connection on your mobile - eg Maxis data plan (RM99/mth) - would be much cheaper than wayfinder?

I bought all my SonyEricsson phones from EagleCom as their pricing were lower than Atlantis that time. I'm not too sure about it now. hmm.gif

Wayfinder can download the map and save on your M2 whereas google map can't. I've downloaded the map for whole of Malaysia about 55MB in my M2 using the mapdownloader application I found in wayfinder.com. All use my internet connection at home to download instead of using 3G on my phone.

Which model did you order? Kekekeke! Believe me, use the Garmin and forget about handphone navigation. Of course the Garmin is a lot bigger so you should keep a copy of navigation software just in case.

Hmm does Google Maps have turn-by-turn navigation? If it has, then I'm gonna skip Navigator.

Guess we should be comparing both shops before making the buy. But at least we know where to buy handphones now.

Anyway has anyone experienced extraordinary battery drain with the C905 or is this something to be expected of? Yesterday I tried to obtain a GPS fix (trying to test it). Then I disabled the GPS cause I don't use it anyway. Guess what. Within a span of 1 hour, it dropped from 98% to 75%. Something is wrong. Phone was warm which indicated it is working on something. Looks like a software problem as it keeps the ARM9 CPU running. Battery drain. hmm.gif

Still can't decide on which model yet. Maybe after CNY.

Google Maps don't have turn-by-turn navigation. Only directions from point A to point B only.

Get the Nuvi 205W (US or local version nevermind). Price is around RM930. Yes it is quite pricey when if you compare the non-wide version next to it, you will immediately appreciate the extra 'view' when navigating with it. It gives you a lot of headstart in preparing for a turn.

i am currently using the NUVI 205 W, it is very nice but you'll sometime feel quite irritated by the instruction they give. it gives you a very nice navigation screen and a lot of neat function.

Right. Warez LOL.
It was all about some free themes and java applications and games.
I suppose it didn't do much help to your PDA sales but hey. the congratulation part didnt help either. Sarcasm especially over a own made bad decision isn't help with the selective righteousness. But it's not our first day in LYN and this isn't the first time we saw this kinda thing.

Seriously, I would be thankful If I go down with David Mak and top it with an congratulation.
