u guys have no problem with the slides? i read somewhere that when the phone is slide up,when u tap the end call button u can hear squeaking sound because there is a big gap.

Only been a week owning it. The slide down (to expose the media keys) is a tad tight though.  Tried again just now with the phone slide up (showing the numeric pad) and tapping n pressing the Eng Call button. I tried softly and harder, both do not give any squeaking sound. In fact, I cannot feel the top piece and the bottom piece of the phone moving (i.e. getting closer to each other) at all. Its a very solid slide mechanism.
