My Diamond now connect to the internet using the Maxis 3G automatically. Do use of Diamond here face this problem


Any idea how to slove this problem .... ?

finally...a reason to hard reset...ROM 2.03...

Improved Functions and Fixes;

1. When you launch the Camera while the system is working on other programs, the preview screen may become black.

2. When playing a video, sometimes a portion of the video will be cut off a little bit.

3. Fixes Audio playback problem with the speaker. Specific issues: sometimes the music will turn off and on after 10 minutes, or there is a buzzing sound or no sound at all.

4. Fixes the problem of not being able to receive MMS when in standby mode.

5. When launching music via the Music tab on TouchFLO 3D, the sound may intermittently turn off for a second and come back on.

updating the rom will wipeout all installed software... contacts ... and other docs put in there rite?

....will wipe off all data in the internal memory [ storage card data will not be affected ]

please perform backup first....

i want my diamond for fast and reliable, not light version

i think theres 2 types of memory on our diamond ..

one is the internal storage ... and one is the 4Gig memory 'card' (which is internal)

so sorta like ... a hdd with 2 partitions ... one partition is mebbe 100mb? i dono ... and the other is the 4gig

Any one experience charging your Diamond using computer USB or those USB power adaptor bought at LYP..... on apperance the phone is charging but after 1 hour the % of batt still remain the same.

If i charge using the ori HTC charger that came with the package .... can see the % batt level increading.

Any user experience this b4 and any one know why ?

there are several types of mini usb with different pins. there in lies your problem, u have to get one with the same and correct pin type for your PDA.

@yeahh, sorry for late reply been extremely busy of late. yes disconnect your PDA from PC and soft reset and see if short cuts work. remember everything installed in storage will not work when in storage card mode.

if it doesnt work, u either have to relink the short cuts yourself, make new shortcuts, or reinstall

but if its in activesync mode then the shortcuts and all wont get messed up ?

lol, not really it kinda makes sense. when your pda is in thumb drive mode, and u're reading files from it like playing mp3 on your PC directly from the pda, and at the same time, u're playing games etc on the pda from the storage, you're bound to screw something up. so it sorta makes sense to not allow one use to allow the other. imagine 2 PCs reading one USB thumb drive, one trying to delete a file one trying to overwrite. die. u cant edit a file when a file is in use, and this solves it.

Added on January 18, 2009, 9:58 amactive sync is for syncing, file transfer is dreadfully slow, and u cant do stuff like view thumbnails of photos from your PC, or hear songs from your pda on your PC.

oh fark ... i tried updating to new rom .. now im stuck at the red green and blue screen ... it says upgrade rom code error please try again
