U have Mapking R 12 installed no? go to windows/startup/ delete Mapking sms.exe or something like that. soft reset. problem solved.

@RME ranger, if u're worried, i can hard-spl and flash for u. its actually pretty easy, and u can restore SPL for warranty purposes

@RME-RAnger,

No worries on doing Hard-SPL. I did that one mine as well, and restored SPL when something is wrong with my phone. Dont think there is a problem with it. smile.gif

Ask baronic to do it for you if you are afraid. Not too hard to do anyway if you know the way smile.gif

i think i will stay with my stock rom first because still got 18 months warranty to go, worry after hard-spl will coz some problem to my TD

currently im use vicsoft clear temp & oxios hibernate to refresh my memory, but long time of usage for TD, the program memory can shoot up to 76 - 80%, sometime might go till 83%, then softreset, sienz.... sad.gif

yea, i got that problem too...

i find that htc touch pro isn't very user friendly... it's a system that kind of complicated if you are to compare with nokia..

if i have the chance to choose again, i will definitely go for nokia e66

back to reality, how to setup a dictionary in touch pro? anyone can provide the software here...

i think you misunderstood what bro booooster was trying to say.....memory leak issue is very much severe in Diamond compare with Touch Pro.

i'm using TP with stock rom, to be very frank there's isn't any memory leak issue as it always stay at around 40% usage of the memory, which means there's around 110++ MB of free memory tongue.gif [ even without performing soft-reset for 2 months! believe it ]

some say by using certain cooked rom can reduce the memory leak issue with Diamond, give it a try if this issue really annoy you...

nokia e66 more user friendly than TP/Diamond? sure or not? well let's not get into debate between symbian vs WM. to summarize;

nokia e66 is more to phone functionality than pda

Diamond/TP is more pda functionality than phone

but all i can say here is that Diamond/TP can easily PAWNED nokia e66 in any aspect ! tongue.gif

somehow, i still cannot used to it even i've been owning it for the past 3 months...

most of the time i will bring my SE k530i rather than my htc TP. probably i'm not skilfull enough to push the virtual button on the screen, SE k530i just let me feel so much comfortable....

i surpose you have previous version already installed on your Desktop PC, try remove previous version then install 3.5 will solve your problem.

I wonder why cant HTC solve the TD memory leak issues if that wasnt a problem on the TP. Anyway, contacted candccom the other day and was told that my TD is coming back real soon. Nice to hear that. smile.gif

IMHO, TP has more RAM than Diamond, so the memory leak issue is not significant as Diamond.

actually, the memory leak issue is the same...but because of more ram, in terms of percentage is less...
