u need original umd..any umd will do..press select to invoke the vsh menu and then select the video.

that is probably testing with computer via card readers.

in psp, MSPD is definitely faster than M2. and yes the adapter for M2 will slow the speed down. why i know? i've tried M2, microSD and MSPD.

speed wise, sandisk MSPD reads and 15Mb/s, and microSD/M2 reads and 8mb/s. but the M2 writes poorly at 2mb/s where microSD write 8mb/s. but nontheless M2 supports magicgate. (which i find non useful anyway)

i am using 8gb microSDHC on my psp now cheap and good. i expect 16gb coming this year? lol

*benchmarkings were done using blackspeed v2.

i bought it for SGD169 in january when it released. but now the price is so damn low now.

so 8gb in psp is now more affordable. microSD 140 + adapter 40 = 180.

ic ic... couze i got one last month for RM200 and the shop keeper claimed that it was faster then MSPD so need to check hehehe.

thats not true. MSPD is faster. but ok ald la.. microSD no lag in game also(must be ISO, CSO got lag abit). the extra transfer speed was good for transferring files and games via usb only

Correct me if i'm wrong. According to the chart in the link microSD can transfer about 90+Mbyte/sec rite...
The only thing slowing things down is the MSPD adaptor am I right?

I need some help here. My psp (v4.01 M33-2) wont boot up. But if i took out the memory stick, it can boot up perfectly. I just done upgrade from V3.90M33-3 to the latest M33 firmware. I can get into the M33 Recovery Menu but the psp wont boot up to XMB. Anyway, here's the info on the Recovery menu, i hope someone can help me about the settings here.

Configuration
skip sony logo -> disable
hide corrupt icons -> disable
game folder homebrew -> currently 4.XX kernel
autorun program at /PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP -> disable
UMD Mode -> normal umd required
fake region -> disabled
use vshmenu -> enable
xmb usb device -> mem stick
charge batt when usb cable plugged -> disable
use m33 network update -> enabled
hide pic0.png & pic1.png in game menu -> disable

I hope someone out there can help me with my settings.

err.. do u use ximb themes? try disable the plugin in recovery.. or more easier.. disable all the plugins.. then try to boot up.

I tried that but still cant fix. I format my mem stick, then it turn normal again. Anyway, thanks for your help ikan_semilang
