Yeah they were my first. My bf and I were searching for nice hamsters that could live in a community. Came out wif robos. Have to admit that their eyebrows are uber cute. Since we bought it very early in our relationship... I would say my experience wif robos is some... 5 years?

So my syrians are basically a new thing for me.

But I've stopped having robos. I couldn't achieve my goal of breeding them with a 100% tame probability. So I just held on to my hammies till the last of them passed away a few months ago. My white face, Pastel, in my avatar, was my last robo. He was also my most succesful since he was chubbier and bigger besides being tamer than the others. He was some 1 cm bigger than the average robo and for a robo, the size difference was quiite remarkable. Strangely, he was sterile. The female liked him and allowed mating but they never produced any pups.

But I remember robos most fondly and they are still my favourite favourite hamsters. Sometimes I find them easier than Ferro.

sigh, the myboo_1988 wants to buys a pair of hamster from me & see who wins the fight.. so unethical, i cant say more..

jamien, i rmb when i first bought my hamsters (WW), the shopkeeper intro robos to me, saying they have nice features.. and i rmb i rejected his offer cos i didnt like the robo's mustache! haha.. didnt know that Now, i'll be interested in robos too

robo are just cute lil creature, unfortunately they just too fast...
but they aren't that "wild", u can feed them by hand...
they dont like to be catch and hold.. i hope my robo can be the tame one, now still taming them with lots lots of passion, hehe...
and they just fine in small group..

That's just pathetic. He calls himself an animal owner? We should be proud of our pets, but not to the extent we have to use them to justify our expectations.

Mustache? Hahaha... They're really beautiful and lovely hamsters from the moment I laid eyes on them. I thought I wouldn't like syrians too but here I am with 2 of em. Hamsters really have a way of appealing to humans.

lolz, ya.. robos have mustache.. the shopkeeper told me that's the most attractive feature of robo.. and i was like 'huh? so ugly u say attractive ar?' hahahaha.. okok no offense to robo owners .. but i still end up with 2 robos and they're reli cute.. especially since one of them is quite tame..

indeeeeeed, their mustache is one of the most attractive features i could find in robos.

and their slightly longer legs, hype-fast movement, and also... 'huge butt'.. hahaha

Robos moustache and eye brows are so killer. So very cute. But I guess it takes a while to fall in love with it. It looks like an old man on a small robo if you really think about it. Hehe...

Ferro is still not keen to be touched. Plus he's getting super addicted to his exercise ball.

is that ok to let hamster in a bowl of tissues?? i mean, it's no harm if they eat the tissues??

Non-scented and non-colored printed are ok I guess. I usually use toilet paper instead. They like making nests with these papers. More than hay I would say. And they don't really eat it. They just chew it to the size they like. Unless you're not feeding your hammies?

is there any exercise ball, specially made for robos? i bought one at petfamily, seems really big for a robo, and it's purple in color =.=

hamster mix... dunno what brand... but looks colorful inside... hahaha...

and 1 mealworm a day...

this one is rather fat and lazy... the other one is thin and active....

They don't go to places which have bedding for them and each of them take 1 side, the sapphire WW took the left side and the agouti WW took the right side, they like to run the wheel

Actually there is just exercise bal for dwarf, exercise ball for medium sized pets, exercise ball for larger small animals.

If you got the one for the dwarf, they'll be just fine. You'll hear them banging off your walls at high speed in no time at all. Trust me. Unless they weigh too little and can't manouver over certain obstacles...

I'm more afraid they will crack the ball at the speed they'll be going, like mine. Totally destroyed the exercise ball.

Brownie is my only mama.. hehe.. she looks small in the bowl eh? hehe its a 20cm bowl

So speaks the proud mama of her mama hamster. But the size and temperament of her hamster should receive the highest praise. And the lady (nezu) makes some really good smoothies.

got something to ask u all... my hamster this month.. the backside of her fur is always wet.... i am not sure isit she sat on her urine .. or any disease! any 1 encounter this b4??

It sounds like wet tail... Has your hammie encountered anything stressful? eating too much fruit and vege (as in a diet change) causes diarrhea.

Does your hammie look weak?

And how does your hammie sit on her pee. She should have shavings as bedding and if she pees, the shavings will absorb. And they don't pee that much at one time. How does the butt get wet from pee?
