haven't thought of a name of him yet.. reli very lazy leh compared to dwarfs.. when my dwarfs sleep, if i sayang them, they sure wake up with a 'HUH?' look on their face.. tis syrian, he ignore me kao kao .. but that means i can sayang him longer heheh.. he's very light, like an adult WW..

btw, the condition in carrefour pet section there was bad.. there was 1 syrian together with a group of WW, but he/she's sleeping lah.. if wake up dy dunno how .. then there was a man with a son around 4-5yrs old.. the son wants to buy robo .. then the father asked the worker to give him sepasang..
my bf keep nudging me, asking me to tell the man dun buy robo for kids, but i dun dare neh

so many ppl buy without research..

give her more protien, but make sure she no skin problem.. clean the bedding.. if about nutrition u can get the Nutri-smoothie if u want.

sad to say, that Chipsi bedding with Green Apple or Citrus scent is not good also.. actually i don't know it's effects la, but i can imagine smelling perfume for the whole day.. i will be like

act ther r alot of petshop also like this.. they dun reli noe how to take care of their pets and da staffs they employ also lack of knowledge... unlike foreign country where they have laws to bind them...malaysia dun reli respect animals

Your mummy robo is suffering from stress of having to raise the baby and probably from the environment. Is teh environment clean? Dirty smelly bedding makes their fur drop.

Remove her from very bright or noisy places. Put her tank with her and her kids somewhere more quiet and not so bright. It reduces stress.

Very skinny is very bad. Mummy hamsters (at least robos since I know more about them and birthing) tend to eat a lot, because they are feeding themselves and their kids. She's skinny probably cuz the babies are taking too much from her and you're not feeding her the right food. Give more protein. Make it a point to feed her hard boiled egg white. They like that, whether pregnant or not. Gives lotsa fresh food. Basically give a bit more to her than u usually do. One of my mummy hammies can finish 1/8 of a hard boiled egg all by herself.

So the basic solution = bedding change + food increase + Nezu's smoothie + hard boiled egg (just for extra) + a better, more private environment.

Let's hope she'll recover.

@mikelim: nonono aka Chris sells relatively tame hamsters. Roche was already tame when she came to me and was super easy to get her used to me. She now allows me to stroke her while she eats. Try to pm him and ask lar.

OMG!!

that mink banded just passed away.. at first i was wondering y he kept on sleeping.. then i pick him up, he was shivering & body is weak.. he was very wobbly too.. then i thought he was scared, cos shivering.. mana tau, he slowly hardened, IN MY HANDS!! i'm damn sad right now.. he died just like that, i cant save him.. wat happen????

symptoms i notice just before he died:
1. kept on shitting.. at first the poo was stuck in his anus, could be constipation?
2. shivering non-stop, then slowly decrease & harden instead
3. gives no reaction no matter how i shook him(at this point still alive, breathing rapidly)
4. eyes open damn big, din blink & cant blink even tho i blow at him (still alive, heavy breathing)
5. continue like that till i finally realized he din breathe anymore..

omg wat happen la..

He can COD in PJ too. Where do you stay? But if you really wanna choose you should go his place. He has lotsa stuff there. Aquarium stuff, hammie stuff... Got many different breeds of hammies there also. Of the 3 hammies I was picking from that day (3 ran away lar but later found back i think) Roche was the tamest and 1 more umbrous female was also tame. 1 tried to jump off but didn't bite at all. And they all seem used to human contact lar. That was more than 2 weeks back lar.

Jayniel... I'm so sorry... RIP. Sorry I dunno what happened. But it's the common syndrome (slow shalow breathing) when hamsters are dying lar.

Ya, he stays there. In a condo. You should walk right in like you're a penghuni there. at least that's what he told me.

Jayniel, don't be too sad. He was probably already terribly sick for a while before you got him. It couldn't be helped.
