this dividend is indeed crucial for airasia as they need to show the world that they are still a profitable airliner...

their profit a lot, just tat first time issue dividends...

but now stuck at 2.79.

This company is a potential ones just that they have quite a high gearing due to new aircrafts purchased for expansion program. For medium to long term, this definitely a good choice for investors to put their money.

Sry, kindly new here, how to count these if i am holding 1000 shares?

(i) Gross Dividend of 9.1% per ordinary share of RM0.10 less Malaysian Income Tax at 25%;

(ii) Tax Exempt Dividend of 0.2% per ordinary share of RM0.10; and

(iii) Single Tier Dividend of 20.7% per ordinary share of RM0.10,

total of 3 sens per 1,000 units

Of which, 0.91 is subjected to 25% tax

2.1 sens is tax exempted

$2.87 now. The target of $3 is not far away

do you think it can go higher than 3... at least by the end of this year?

I would say be cautious for the medium and long term due to the volatility of oil prices, it will be important to see how AA manages it's costs and derive revenue from other sources

Hopefully next month after they announce their quarter profit, will go up to rm3.

It will fly further if the oil price keeps on going down and the Libya protest is put to rest. i love AirAsia but I don't like the volatility of the oil price, hence I skip from this counter. But I wish you guys good luck!

What's your thought? Possible to reach that level? I'm not greedy, only targetting at 3.20 before letting go my possession. Already release quite a substantiate when it reach 2.66 6 months ago.

I think he just mentioned his opinion on bullish sentiment on Air Asia shares. It's possible to hit the target price if it breaks 3.00 resistance and the upcoming quarterly report (due May) must be good.

More than that I think the Insiders had to push this counter up in order to get a good rating on the AIRASIAX due for listing locally and overseas.
I also agree that they will try to show a good q result this month.
