QUOTE(ronn77 @ Feb 15 2011, 09:26 PM) I'm just back from meeting with my Japanese colleagues in Vietnam. He told me that Airasia is very popular in Japan nowadays. Sames goes with my colleague in Indonesia and Thailand. So the conclusion is Airasia business model does work and it will become even bigger and as a world's leading budget carriers for many years to come. The delay in 12 Airbus320 is part of strategy to reduce the gearing ratio as well as to see the reaction from rivalry carriers before moving to next step. Understand that the postponement of the 10 x 320 Airbus also because of new model engine which will enhance the fuel consumption by lowering to 15 - 18%. I worked for MAS for 21+ years (75 to 96) but still very proud of AIRASIA. At least to now they got it right. This post has been edited by rosdi1: Feb 15 2011, 09:52 PM

QUOTE(mazda626 @ Feb 20 2011, 08:15 PM) I think this is small problem to AIRASIA and it is just a small part of a bargaining chips. I think the real problem to the Airline industry is the trouble in the Middle East. This problem will keep the fuel price high( Fuel is 20 to 30% of airline cost) and the travel demand will decrease and the domino theory will follow suit. The Middle East Airlines , short of pax demand will start a price war and all airlines worldwide will be affected.

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Feb 23 2011, 12:16 AM) Don't worry.. It will continue to drop as oil prices is set to surge already.. USD 110 coming de lah.. So if you want to have some fun by amplifying things.. Get the warrants But make sure is high volume warrants.. Or else you will get stuck.. Anyhow, just plain talking.. Not asking you to follow what i say.. Airlines and Fuel stocks are always a good and and interesting trading stocks. It like to move up and down like a roller-coaster. I think now is not the time to own an airline. QUOTE(ronn77 @ Feb 25 2011, 11:19 AM) Company is making good money and getting stronger year by year due to increase in revenue. The business model is works and will getting even better in the future. The current worrying trend is that escalating fuel prices which may cause lower profitability in the next qtr result. Anyway take this chances to go in before it's too late, the current downtrend is an opportunity for u to enter before i breaks the RM3 again. I think it is a good time to go sideline now. I think it couldn't stay but I can be very wrong and maybank say ok

QUOTE(ronn77 @ Feb 28 2011, 05:22 PM) I don't really agree with distributing dividend to shareholder as the surplus money which earned should be re-invested for better future such as settling the debts and reduce it's gearing. Not to be forgotten they just delayed few aircrafts which will be due on 2016 doe delivery. Dividend paying company are rated higher than non paying

QUOTE(shiloong7081 @ Mar 2 2011, 08:27 PM) you bought at how much ? at the moment it's not a very good stock to hold, with the volatility in oil prices. Someone ask about AIRASIA and this is my view that I replied to him: QUOTE AIRASIA is not so bad. I commented on AIRASIA a few days ago. I see support at 2.30. If it break that support I guess you should be thinking of cutting your loss there. There are a few positive point on AIRASIA.. . They are thinking to list out AIRASIAX soon and to get a good price they have to continue to support AIRASIA at a high price. . Their passenger numbers will not be much affected by the economic slowdown since they are not targeting the business group like MAS. . They can can still pass their fuel cost to the passenger as a surcharge. The problem for you is that you might not see the price moving up such that you need to hold for sometime if you are thinking of making profit. I am not sure if AIRASIA is going to pay any dividend soon. . The current price is already high for a 0.10 par share and a NTA of 1.31 I don't have AIRASIA or MAS share now but if I have I will plan to sell it off on a small upward movement.. Good luck

QUOTE(Icehart @ May 2 2011, 10:35 PM) I think he just mentioned his opinion on bullish sentiment on Air Asia shares. It's possible to hit the target price if it breaks 3.00 resistance and the upcoming quarterly report (due May) must be good. More than that I think the Insiders had to push this counter up in order to get a good rating on the AIRASIAX due for listing locally and overseas. I also agree that they will try to show a good q result this month.

QUOTE(ronn77 @ May 3 2011, 02:54 PM) Everything looks positive at this moment for AA. Setting my target at 3.10 before selling. Anyone knows the ex-date dividend for Airasia? The dividend ? .. I think not much since it is a 0.10 par 30% is just 0.03 per share or just about 1% yield Dividend and couldn't help much to move the price or would not cause much drop in the price after the x date (16 Jun) The big price surge yesterday had almost all being given away now... I t is a good time to get in now... i think the price will surge again but this time more orderly and slowly. I am still bullish here maintaining the TP. Good Luck

QUOTE(ronn77 @ May 9 2011, 07:46 AM) Some target firm even raise the TP to 3.8 although it will be difficult to reach that level unless if there's some exceptional gains in the upcoming report. For me, I will take my gains once it hit 3.2 and wait for next correction before re-invest again. Our friend from Jupiter send me this QUOTE BROKER CALLS:
* Airasia : Credit Suisse rates the stock "outperform" with a $4.80 tgt

QUOTE(UyxoR @ May 10 2011, 09:27 PM) erm, true enough it only sustain for 7 session and the price is back to the band of daily chart again. Question is where will it head next. Maybe can get a bit of clue from the 30 minutes chart, seems like the price in last 1 trading hour has deviated out of the band and theoretically this should push the price back to the band in the next day. But the 30 minutes chart probably also signal a lower low and could it be the price will be heading south after a short life rebounce? Back to the transaction side, 3.13 is transacted in the opening 20 minutes chasing mainly by the retail investor and this is not really a good sign. The price erode without the support from the big buyer and hopefully tomorrow can sustain above 2.97 for the trend to continue. In a longer term I am still bullish on AIRASIA.. I had missed the chance to purchase AIRASIA twice at 2.90 and still waiting again at 2.90 This post has been edited by rosdi1: May 10 2011, 09:52 PM
