Guys guys. Since I'm not good with English so there're some word that I don't fully understand sweat.gif .

To begin with, mod stand for modification right? And in term of modelling it's means making new appearance, create inner-frame, creat new weapon... etc.... So mod means create something that's not exist to begin with, right?

So, if I paint my kit with other color not original one or using weather effect then is it called custom?

Anyway, what's is handpaint sweat.gif? At first, I thought handpaint means using brush to paint but it seems not. Is it means using paint spray?

Since I'm still a noob so please don't feels annoying about these noobish questions, thx smile.gif.

Hum? I think.... if I'm not wrong, that's because you mix the paint with too much thinner so the paint become too watery hmm.gif.

only 2 things i could think of...
1. the "dust" u're referring to might be "spider-webs", u didn't put enough hobby thinner therefore when spraying the paint, it alr dried half way which cause the web which look like dust..
2. another reason, ur dust could be u left ur kit aside too long, dust accumulate on it and u spray color which the paint stick on the dust....

i guess that's dust, trapped in between paint n the plastic. it can also be patches of paint for not mixing well. Or any other reasons. As long as it's some foreign object trapped.

That's very common. hence to spray a perfectly smooth n flawless surface is definitely depends on your "kung fu" or skill. Practise more! biggrin.gif

1. mod = modification, to do anything extra on the model kit.

2. to add in something personal, that's called custom. the easiest would be color change, or customised decal.

3. hand paint means use brush n paint.

Actually these words means nothing much. they r just commonly used words so when u r communicating with others, it's easier for another person to understand what u mean.

I also encounter the "spider-web" thingy when I try to spray white color parts.. sad.gif I guess it should be cause by the paint is not thin enough with thinner..

No idea whether got diff or not but I think even which cutter also have to use sand paper to remove the left over.. no perfect cut lo.

unless use art knife.... but need steady hand.

I see, coz I saw a site showing Tamiya's one, from the picture it looks like a pretty clean cut to me, unfortunately the price is a bit too much for a cutter, i.e 80-100.
