but looking at the downturn in the semiconductor industry in general, where PC demand is expected to fall going forward and both AMD and Nvidia also reduce their wafer order from TSMC from initial estimates. it will not be a good 6 months going forward. expecting the quarterly bonus will be lower. hopefully the salary raise will be competitive as inflation rise. 🙁

I don't think there will be a downturn for Semiconductors industry. People are still data hungry and need to be online, making Server Chips and Licensing IPs should be favourable.
You should be worry whether Voluntary Separation Package (VSP) with certain projects being killed...

Just curious where you get your news tho? I don't mind spend some reliable websites to read trustworthy Semiconductor Industry news and speculations.

wow. i guess that's the minimum now to get Singapore employment pass. if like this, may think of going there if the salary increment is low at Intel Malaysia. i think the recent survey results indicated that people are actively looking for outside opportunities. lol.

GT to perm is not internal. They do require external of CG reqs which are external reqs too. Internal is just left pocket to right pocket; zero sum game.

of coz im not from intel. but as far as i know, your boss will questions you for disable it. be prepares for trouble.

i just speaking on behalf of the engineer who left intel. maybe not for you as you might be from management level.

I've been on both side of the spectrum. So I can relate on both ends.

haha...not just that, i heard their expectation is crazy. weekend + 12 hrs of daily working is expected if not you will not finish your workload.

Ahaha..I'm sure this goes everywhere la...There are peaks and valley....as long as the work gets done, doesn't matter how many hours one work.

Alot of fresh grads can't manage or rather think it's excessive cause they don't talk to their managers. Workload can be negotiated but it's simple, you want more, you do more......the impact must be there.
