I think the highest chance to get a position at Intel is to have internal referral from current employees. This is based on my personal experience. Also, the employee that referred you also get to have bonus if you managed to join Intel.

but looking at the downturn in the semiconductor industry in general, where PC demand is expected to fall going forward and both AMD and Nvidia also reduce their wafer order from TSMC from initial estimates. it will not be a good 6 months going forward. expecting the quarterly bonus will be lower. hopefully the salary raise will be competitive as inflation rise. 🙁

wow. i guess that's the minimum now to get Singapore employment pass. if like this, may think of going there if the salary increment is low at Intel Malaysia. i think the recent survey results indicated that people are actively looking for outside opportunities. lol.

not sure where you heard that. from my experience, you are only expected to work at least 40hrs per week and it's flexible on how you do your work, especially now with hybrid working mode. it's more towards work-life integration than work-life balance now, based on the type of work covered. i would say work smart than work hard. no need to spend 12hrs daily + weekends, unless you are getting OT for it.

Intel need to keep up lah. SkyeChip paying 8k for 0-2 years experience engineer. but of course, SkyeChip is sitting on piles of cash by licensing their IPs to China clients. also, SkyeChip going for IPO soon.

i think still okay. since last month give 6% adjustment and in April will have another rewards cycle. so in total this year got double digit increment. biggrin.gif and for G6 and above still got RSU. unless you say INTC is so low that it worth nothing. lol.
