Hi,

You can try Junnie87, she has a batch of westies from a breeder in Ipoh.
She's very good and is very patient. We bought our little German Shepherd pup from there and it's a beautiful 1 year old dog now.
If you have questions, you can always ask and she'll answer.

We are buying one of the Westie pup from her this time too.

ic, so you are the one who book 1 of the 4 pups she has now, right? I got myself one from her too (is this the junnie from usj?).
hmm, I have lots to ask as this will be my 1st westie (appreciate if anyone can help me to start off). I got a husky too, very very energetic..i wonder what will happen if 3 of my dogs live together (the other one is a shih tzu)

Yes! Junnie from USJ. Yay, so now my little pup has his sibling adopted! where you from? KL also? we can meet up in future with our westies.

As for your dogs, i think different people have different ways to do it introduce them. I can't advise much as I haven't had the chance to introduce two dogs living under the same roof yet. smile.gif

My GSD is going to seremban because the grandpa there loves him too much, and there is space for him to run about. So my westie will be my only dog at home.

Irenekang?
Her dogs looks nice but apparently got some issues with some of the dogs that some people buy from her. Think I saw it somewhere in this thread or somewhere else.

It was not somewhere else, it was here. Her dogs are really nice, true indeed. I also wanted to buy but I already have 3 (1 of which is probably not purebreed).

The health portion, I'm not sure if it's all hereditary but it is also true that some buyers here has posted against her being dishonest and not disclosing the health prior to purchase. I believe it was Legg-Perthes disease (hip problems).

I dun think it will be a 50/50 rule cause the problem is due to inheritance. Better get some info before getting a westie, esspecially on health issues and also the breed line of your westies to check whether their parents or the lines has any issues on health or not such as malasezia or atopic dermatitis, seborrhea, and other skin disorders. Its very important to check with the breeder all this things so that you wont fall into a trap of dishonest or unethical breeder.

Its really very important to know that because it will bring you tons of problems to you and your westies if they are infected by either one of the above mentioned disease. Your westies will be suffer emotionally and mentally and I've gone thru all those hassle and I really know how it feels. So i think its best to do some homework first... biggrin.gif .

Anyway, they are indeed a great breed to have if they are perfectly healthy. Im glad to know tat there will be another proud westie owner. Cheers thumbup.gif

larryho is right. Unlike humans, if your dad is limping, dont mean you will be but for dogs, chances are high. Please do some research on the hips problem disease I mentioned above.

I believe there was a forumer who bought from Irene before so you can ask them for further comments.

Am getting my Rosco next week.

What do you guys feed your westies? I am going to feed him with Natural Balance. Have asked around a few westie owners and most of them feed natural balance. But I'd like to hear more. smile.gif

I'm feeding Natural Balance too. I've been feeding this brand for about 2 years++ now, some times I change to other brands like Evanger, Eaglepack, etc. Most of the time, I am feeding NB.
