QUOTE(Pennywise @ Jun 14 2010, 10:39 PM) Nothing much you can do, let the fur grow and go to a proper grooming shop for westie cut. Most groomer dunno how to give it the lion-cut. Seapark pet supplies are ok. Just brought her to vet 2-3 weeks back but the vet never mentioned that she's underweight. I'm feeding her 4 tablespoon twice a day. Is it too little? Should i feed her more? Not sure if I am seeing things but the picture with the clothes on, make me think your dog is too skinny. Is she underweight? |

QUOTE(larryho @ Jun 14 2010, 11:28 PM) Wow...another westie owner, welcome to the thread. To me, her weight is fine lar...u cant expect alot frm local breeder westie breed coz u'll hardly find a pure breed standard over here in M'sia...IMO lar. Look at my tweety, she looks skinny too..tats normal. Too me, most important is they are healthy and energetic which reflect their nature. Anyway...do you bring her out for walks or exercise? if it's normal then it's ok Pennywise, mine wont do marking at home...they do it outside all the time. I adi mark my territory at home, so no more space for them to mark adi |

QUOTE(larryho @ Jul 8 2010, 01:01 PM) Yea...mine are doing fine. yea she drinks a lot.. i bought some dental thing for her also but still has no change.. and there's blood on those bones she chew.. maybe she's changing teeth now.. cos i saw few dropped already.. anyway, will bring her to vet next weekend to see what happened..Does she drink lots of water??? Mayb there are tartars on her teeth, you can try getting those dental thingy tat sells in petshop for her to chew if it does continue. QUOTE(shutterclicks @ Jul 9 2010, 12:59 PM) Hi, I got my westie from Junnie too, she's very helpful indeedYou can try Junnie87, she has a batch of westies from a breeder in Ipoh. She's very good and is very patient. We bought our little German Shepherd pup from there and it's a beautiful 1 year old dog now. If you have questions, you can always ask and she'll answer. We are buying one of the Westie pup from her this time too. This post has been edited by renybee: Jul 9 2010, 11:46 PM |

QUOTE(larryho @ Jul 14 2010, 04:03 PM) Wat ur vet said might be true, i just google n read up some articles and i found this source 'http://www.cesarsway.com/askthevet/basicad...-neuter-or-spay. So i guess its also good to neuter/spay them early. Actually im planning to neuter my Casper also. Oh, i thought you have neutered/spayed both Casper & Tweety already but i always think it is good to neuter/spay our furkids if you are not breeding them.. |

QUOTE(shutterclicks @ Aug 25 2010, 03:24 PM) Cute!! Don't say no when he's trying to pee on the floor, instead carry him straight to his pee pan... then praise him or give him a treat... after that only you point to the floor and say no pee pee on the floor...that's how i trained Paris.. she knows how to jump to her cage to pee and poo after 3 weeks My dog's whining and barking reduced to twice per night now. Hopefully none next week! However, my pooch, he pees in the pee pan when we are away, very good boy and all. But when we get back and we play with him....within the vicinity of his play pen, he chooses to pee on the floor and not on the pee pan....or half way (half on the floor and half in the pee pan). Why ah? lol, it's like he forgotten everything when he play. Maybe too excited eh? Everytime he made the position to pee, we said no then carry him to the pee pan but he won't pee... was so happy when she first jumped to the cage to pee & poo! |

QUOTE(shutterclicks @ Aug 26 2010, 05:17 PM) Oooh, I'll try that. remember to post Rosco's picture too! With Dexter, my GSD, everytime we catch him peeing on the floor, we say no and take him to the pee pan. Then he will pee there. Then all the good boy and treats and hugs will be given. Budden GSD is super smart lah. But Rosco just learnt a trick. He can paw now! woo. Haha I'll let you guys know the result of Rosco's pee pee poo poo |

QUOTE(Pennywise @ Sep 1 2010, 03:36 PM) Wow, Paris is very nice and very white. I keep Paris indoor most of the time..I'm using SilkyGroom Goat's Milk Shampoo but i think maybe becos Dogroom bathe Paris with whitening shampoo & they cut all the yellowish fur that's why she looks white now.. but one thing i must recommend here is the Peanut Butter supplement.. this is really good to prevent the tear stain being stained on her face! All the tear stain remover are useless really! I was so fed up with the stain until i fed her with this supplement and the tear stain gone forever.. and this supplement is not expensive.. quite affordable.. QUOTE(leejason99 @ Oct 4 2010, 12:53 PM) Finally got prince, smart guy, fast learner and definitely an explorer. pee and poo in the toilet on first day home (saw my other dog did it and he does the same, less cleaning to do). slept with me the whole night without moving an inch (probably because he's too tired after spending all his energy exploring the house). brave and fierce guy considering his 2months of age, kept charging at my other dog and did not back off even after being growl at..very healthy indeed. Problem is he will eat everything i put in his bowl. is it normal?im afraid i over fed but at them same time scared he's not full because of his way of eating. cute!! it's normal i guess cos my one also eat very fast when she was younger as if few days not being fed! here are some pics ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(leejason99 @ Nov 10 2010, 04:42 PM) my dog has been coughing since i brought him back and we've seen 4 different vets and ate many many kinds of medicine including the antibiotics...any idea what should i do? the coughing is constant and it seems like he's trying to get the Flem off his throat. i pitty him for having to take so much of medicine everyday....its been a month plus to 2 now.. if the cough worsen you should bring your dog to a more thorough check up maybe? that's what the vet told me when my dog had cough early last week...she's now fully recovered after 3 days of medication... hope that your dog will recover soon too... |
