yup we got the last pup from her. we drove all the way to penang after talking to her on the phone - being kiasu after we saw the photo of both dam and sire from her website.

the next batch of her puppies will be in jan, but by Ozzy and Jasmine. ours is by Ozzy and Christy - both australia import. their features is very good (small pointed ears, short muzzle, thick fur, very good temperament) not like the ones we saw in petshop in kl loh.

so for the quality, we paid more than what the petshop charges here. she made us promise not to tell, because different puppy is at different price. but it was RM3k++  whistling.gif

He's doing great but yapping a lot for attention. When is she delivering the dogs to you or do you have to go up and pick it up?
How many are you buying? Male or female? What's the intended name for the new pup?

wah wah wah! interrogation meh icon_question.gif

1) we are going to pick him up next sunday. delivery is not so personal mah, surely you don't ask to deliver your baby home when you can pick him up personally cool2.gif

2) buying ONE is enough to put a big hole in our bank account lo laugh.gif

3) it is a HE, and 4) his name is scubby - means "very happy" dog wink.gif

do you leave your 3 furkids home alone when you go for work? is that why marquis is yapping? we stay in a condo, so have to curi2 to have scubby. hopefully he will be a good boy. any tips for us? i saw your tricks of casper in youtube thumbup.gif i especially like the BANG BANG play dead rclxms.gif

Not interrogation la, dont take it so personal - just asking. Valid questions ma, right? Ok, you are going all the way up to PG to pick him up... so committed.

Yea, I leave my dogs at home when I'm off to work.

I used to have Casper only and he lives alone at home. On Wed evening till Sunday morning, my grandma will move in to live with us. It's a weekly thing and at other times she will be at my aunts. So Casper is less lonely when grandma is home.

At the same time, I have a sister who is still schooling. She gets home after morning school to play with Casper. Soon, my sister got busy with her SPM, etc, when she didnt have that much time to be with Casper, he was lonely again.

That's where Moonie came into the picture. Good luck with Scubby, remember to post up photos of him soon ok?

no worries. i was just joking about the interrogation part biggrin.gif

casper sounds lonely too. but as long as you walk him, he should be fine. now you have a big garden for all 3 of them to play, they should be happy dogs. but still need to go for walks! according to cesar millan, the dog whisperer.

so do you meet up with other westie owners? i read from petster magazine that NZX (nui ze xui) at ara damansara allows dogs in their commercial centre. have anyone ever organised a westie get together there before?

Hahaha... tongue.gif

Yea, we know dogs need their walk. However, its not so easy to bring dogs out for a walk after you return home from work. I dont bring them for walk all the time because sometimes I come home late and it's unsafe for my sister to bring the dog for walk on their own. hmm.gif

I usually only bring them out at night around 9pm so that they poo outdoor. This way, I dont have to clean up after their mess if they do their biz on newspaper. I'll do this if I run out of newspaper too. Usually, we only let them out in the morning for ~2 hours, then evening from 6 - 7pm till we sleep at night. Weekend, they're out most of the time causing mess and creating havoc.

I only bring them about 3 times a week. icon_rolleyes.gif I've not heard / been to any westie gathering.

Err... what couple?

Basically it's like this. I know Zack (owner of Pet's De Park) dog section in Pet Safari. Zack's westie litter gave birth to 5 puppies.

He reserved 1 for our another friend, Jess. He put up 4 others for sale at his place. 1 was sold before I got there.

Marquis being the nicest in the litter was sold to me. 2 others were left behind when I left the place on Merdeka. Now that vioxmonsta said there's no more westie, I would assume the remaining 2 was sold too.

the first time i saw westie was at petsmore in jalan sultan. quite good quality also. it was 2 months old, don't remember if male or female. selling for about RM2500. that was back in august.

i think i also saw that same westie that pennywise saw at ikano. the following week we went back there, he was gone. selling RM2200+ i think.

do try the pet family petstore at taman megah. we saw a westie there, but not too good quality, selling at RM1800.

maybe you can try asking those petshops to reserve for you?

Oh, I dont know if they're couple but I only know Zack. A lot of the breeders are from Klang, that's how I know them.

well very true la. irene's westie is superior and comes with the price and DISTANCE tongue.gif

so if you don't mind the distance to get the perfect westie, i definitely recommend irene kang's westie. she told me her next batch would be due in jan 09. so people, start queuing! call her and book one today rclxms.gif

Actually, it's not superior nor perfect. hmm.gif Irene's westie has a nice build. I had wished to see her westie with the popular westie lion's cut but all I've seen so far is a bushy, messy forehead fur. I would have hope to see her comb / groom it in other ways. tongue.gif

Let me explain to you why it's not superior nor perfect (note this is just personal opinion). Ever noticed why some people say there's no nice Westie in Malaysia? cry.gif

I said there is nice westies in accordance to local standards, but honestly, there really isnt any that's up to standards with those you see in Scotland. Take a good look at those photos posted by larryho when he travelled UK.

Our local westies are nice to look at but its often not comparable. Not to mention the grooming cut. I dont think Irene's westie is lion cut despite it being the most famous. Additionally, it's really hard to find someone who can do hand stripping on our westies locally. The best so far is Seapark Pet Supplies, SS2 as recommended by ihawk98.

However, I do admit and think she spend a lot of time maintaining her westie to be so white icon_idea.gif notworthy.gif - whether you can do the same or not is a different story, my friend. I know I couldnt! cry.gif Hahaha!!

Westie is also determined by the size of the head and body structure. Not only must it be small but it has to be how to say... padat and fit. Unlike other dogs where you can tough their body and feel fats, westie body are usually very tight together like muscular even though they're only home pets.

Lastly, Einstein + Marilyn Monroe dont mean their kids turn out genius or hot. This depends a lot on you who will bring it up! Are you ready for this new challenge in your life? Hehe..
