Well in a way, I think those property seller will increase the price slightly to cushion their pocket to pay out the gain tax . Indirectly property price to go up also. blink.gif shakehead.gif

i not sure the rate revision applicable to every bank or not, but i'm 100% sure that OCBC will discontinue all the promotion HL package at 3rd NOV 2009.

So far Ive got these numbers from agents

all these are ZEC, >300k

HSBC - SmartHome-i flexi, 35 years, BLR5.55-2.0, no MRTA, no interest acp
Affin - term loan, 35 years, BLR5.5-1.9, with MRTA, Interest cap@10%
CIMB - Flexi-i , BLR-1.95, with MRTA, cap@ 9.sumthing(cant remember)

Does anyone no banks that can offer better rates ? because Im still searching around. Im going to try and have a look at OCBC now. Im not sure how to try and negotiate to get better rates, is it possible?

Recently got a mortgage for BLR -2.2% from Hong Leong. Loan amount 200k+, this is the flexi package where can use balance in current a/c to offset the loan principle interest. zero cost package too.

Good rate?

Some other buyers got up to BLR -2.8% from what I heard. But their loan amount is >300k

Flexi @ BLR - 2.20% is ok. As for BLR - 2.8%, sure or not???? Never seen nor heard it before.

Anyway get your application is a.s.a.p. as those will be things of the past.
