my mortgage broker submitted my case to OCBC last week, and he got back to me saying that the bank needs 1-2 weeks to process because they have 284 cases submitted. Really, I have to wait so long to process?

QUOTE(onnying88 @ Nov 4 2009, 10:57 AM) Actually broker or banker it's the same, it's depend on how them want to make it fast or not only. But sometimes others causes may delay the process like the bank internal system or your doc not complete. when i apply thru broker, i can only follow up with broker? can i follow up direct to the banker? seems like my broker doesn't want to give me the banker's contact.... |

QUOTE(abyss8 @ Nov 4 2009, 11:35 AM) even if you go to the bank and talk to a banker there, they can't do much for you. They only can see your application status. The broker/agent is the one you should chase around. if he is an agent/broker dealing with alot of bank, then may God bless you. means take longer time?anyway, they only apply for me one bank.... can i call the hq of the bank to check my application status? |

QUOTE(hkway @ Nov 5 2009, 12:49 PM) Hi,all. I was wary of this issue too when i was asked to sign the loan application formI notice the terms & conditions in the most letter of offer from bank (eps. in appendix attached) stated that they have the absolute discretion to vary the terms & conditions of the facility from time to time during the tenure. Dunno why got such an unfair clause . IS IT MEANS THEY HAVE RIGHTS TO DO ANYTHING THEY WANT ??? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1210033 |

OCBC Banker(s), I would like to ask: Once my loan is being disbursed to the seller's bank, in the online system, it would be indicated by the "due date" appearing? Is it possible for me to call up the customer service to check if the loan is being disbursed, instead of ringing up the lawyer (always engaged on line)?

QUOTE(jarjar6666 @ Feb 3 2010, 10:34 PM) leongal, I also took OCBC. They sent me debit note when the first drawn down has been done on 12/1/10. I also follow up with my OCBC loans agent. Thanks. Can you remember how many days did it take for your first draw down after OCBC receive the letter of advice from the lawyer to release to loan? At least you got the help of your OCBC loan agent, I did it with a mortgage broker, he can't get the figure for me.... |

QUOTE(giggs_509 @ Feb 10 2010, 08:14 AM) hi, how long bank need for disbursement from the date of signing loan agreement? and when will be the 1 loan payment? 2 weeks from sign loan agreement? disbursement depends on how long it takes for your loan lawyer to settle those documentation for the bank, probably 1-2 monthsfirst loan payment starts the first day of the following month after the first drawdown And, I am talking about subsale |

QUOTE(eteractive @ Apr 8 2010, 10:16 AM) so meaning, property valuation is added into my loan amount? downpayment is paid to the seller not to the bank...i thinkif i were to borrow RM400,000 and valuation is RM20,000. so my loan amount is RM420,000? the downpayment i need to pay is RM40,000 or RM42,000? i heard that i need to pay the 10% downpayment (to owner) + RM20,000 property valuation (to bank) which is RM60,000. That's a lot! |
