roughly 12 mins... yes, need to change mrt.. have a look at the mrt map below

http://www.lta.gov.sg/projects/images/mrt_map_big.gif

or maybe you can take a bus direct from harbourfront to the flyer. 40 mins ride.

common bathroom means your room does not have an attached bathroom. You need to use the common which is shared by others. - Just like the usual backpacker's.

u can call them up to double check. 5 pax in a room should be possible since they have an extra bed option at $15. Call them up to see if still operational then.

Hey guys,

I'm planning a really random (and rushed) trip to Singapore next weekend (because a friend wants to see some DJ perform at the Riverwalk... Need to look that place up!)

Any ideas on clean and affordable hostels to stay in? I keep seeing Geylang-based hotels appearing on tripadvisor.com which really creeps me out.

So far this Value Hotel Thompson has received favourable reviews... I think I'm looking at less than RM300-500 for 2 nights' worth of accommodation

Would appreciate your suggestions! The last time when I was in Singapore was like what... When i was in kindy?? LOL

Normally he will ask you to top up at one counter and you will be charged a fine of sin 10 dollar for failing to have sufficient credit.

Exactly what happened to me few yrs ago... They will let you go even if insufficient fund,

However upon your re-entering, Be prepared to face S$10 penalty for insufficint fund & wasting your ~ 1-2 hr at the autopass office for settlement & reloading
