can recommend hotels which are near to Sentosa Island (via MRT)? Looking for budget hotels around the price range of 100-150 SGD that can fit at least 4 person to a room.

Arranging accommodations for a trip to singapore. 4 families going.. Headache on where to stay..

The closest hotel 81 is Hotel 81 Osaka.. but they only have 2 single bed rooms and the room is too small to squeeze 4 ppl...

hey i want to know how can i go to compassvale bow from queen street?can go by MRT??near or not?

hi, if you've extra cash to spare, take the cab. it ranges from 10-20 SGD depending on whether it's peak hour.

otherwise, it's convenient to take the train too.

Walk to the bus stop at Fu Lu Shou Complex, Rochor Road.
Bus 48, 57, 170, 851, 960, 980

Alight at Little India MRT
Take the North-East Line

Board the train towards Punggol Station and alight at Sengkang Station, 8 stops later.

Sengkang LRT Line
Board the train towards Ranggung Station and alight 1 stop later.
Walk 350 m

Walk to Compassvale Bow.

Take this as a general guide. Ask around and you should be fine. By train, the total trip will be less than an hour. By cab, around half an hour.

You may also want to take a bus. I'm delighted to inform you there's a service you can take straight, without any transfers to trains. It is bus number 80, and will take approx. 50 minutes.

Board at Opposite Bugis Junction, Victoria Street. Alight at Opposite The Rivervale, Punggol Road, 35 stops later.

Hope this helps.
Regards from Singapore, and have a nice trip here.

Perhaps you might want to check out Hotel Re @ Pearls Hill, a relatively new hotel. But i'm not too sure if they take in 4 pax per room. Actually travelling will not be too much of a problem; you dont have to specifically look into a hotel that's near sentosa. Public transport will get you there effortlessly from anywhere, no worries.

If there's anything i could do to help, please let me know.

You can definitely try Ibis hotel near to Bugis, new hotel and I read from travel blog review, not bad, price I think should easily fit your RM350 I hope. Last year, it was ~$120/night. As for Mustafa centre area, not such Parkroyal at Kitchener road is good deal. I think the price is higher, but Farrer Park MRT is just across the road.

Ibis is perfectly fine yes smile.gif. Stayed there last week for 4 nights. Rooms are ok, wifi throughout the building is nice. Overal atmosphere is perfect. Location is absolutely fantastic!. From the back entrance it's 4 minutes to Iluma/Bugis Village/Bugis Junction. It's only 2 minutes to Sim Lim Square. MRT is below Bugis Junction, so also very nearby. Right in front of Ibis however; all busses stop...numerous busses that go to Chinatown, Suntec, Orchard wherever you need to go...perfect smile.gif.

I read the 1st post but I dun understand about Malaysian-registered vehicle have to acquire an Autopass Card and 10 VEP free days.
How about parking fees at public apartments, how much and how to pay?

On the return journey to Malaysia, where can we buy duty-free liqueur?

You drive into singapore, cross the singapore immigration, then immediately after that stop your car and go to buy the autopass card.

I remember arriving at the Woodlands Checkpoint, there are sign board to direct Malaysian car, without the autopass to the correct lane. Shortly after "chop" passport and custom check, there's also sign that direct you to the office to buy the autopass card. There are designated parking lot, park your car and walk to the office. You may ask the immigration officer if you are not sure about where to get the autopass.

About the duty-free products, so far I have not heard of anyone driving thru entitled to buy liquor - usually it's the at the airport thing. But you may check out the DFS (Duty Free Shop) in Singapore. There's one at Millenia Walk, another at Orchard Road (er, if it's still there).. Pls google for DFS.

Darknite, drive from Pg to Sg? I've done that before, with my sister, that time to pindah back all my barang-barang in Singapore.

Here's one useful site, I've been trying to find it back, aiyah, all this while I bookmark under "my favorites", and forgot(baru spring cleaning):
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...tml#quickaccess

Check under the Road Conditions menu, esp useful is the Parking Rate, ERP rate. Eg the Parking Rate in Orchard area, a table shows all. Look for those per entry rate... Ha ha..

Tiuas link only good for those willing to pay more tolls $$$. & it's far to Singapore compare to the old causeway...If you dun join the crazy peak hour jam during the early Morning & Nite...using causaway will save you more on toll. & nearer to Singapore..
