good luck...thats during super peak season, i doubt even budget hotels you can get at that price, maybe left only the hostels / dorms type

Thanks for the info. Is there any alternative? Such as stay in Jhr and travel there by car then back? Or any hotels allow advance booking?

not sure how congested the causeway will be, but you really don't wanna risk being in a jam for hours...

just did a simple search, u can try http://hotels.online.com.sg/singapore/hotelhamilton/

or Hotel 81 at Bugis. Good location (can go shopping at bugis village & mall and sim lim square). There are quite a few hotels at bugis as well and might go cheaper... but not sure if they have an online portal though....

or find a hotel near little india.. can go Mustapha 24 hours shopping centre... (if never go before, you'll be quite amazed. hehe...) but Little India is convenient for a train ride to Vivocity anyway.

i think you should have no problems booking now... december is like more than 6 months away for gawds sake! biggrin.gif

Anyone tried this hotel before? It's really on Geylang road:

Only SGD$50.

@Starjump,

why not take a budget hotel somewhere near to Bugis? Orchard is the best, but i doubt there will be any budgeted place there.

Bugis has lots of backpackers place, just need to really search for it only. And besides, it's near to a few big shopping places (not malls).

I thought of getting the cheapest hotel rate. Preferbly around SDG50. But just curious, if the hotel is along Geylang street is it very bad?

Geylang is te place famous for postituition la..~
In their tv, they always say if you go there , means you go find hooker lorh~

But personally , i don't think it's bad even though never been staying there.

Added on June 27, 2008, 12:27 amTo sinagporean , they sometimes will joke joke saying u go find hookers when u go there.

erm , consider of getting a prepair card to call back home?
if go there for few days, and u think u may always call home , right , i suggest you to get a star hub or singtel prepaid lo.
Using the card there , cheaper ma, can actually purchase in any 7 eleven la . cheapest is like 8 dollar but inside 10 dollar for you to call ( singtel) .
charge 8 cent /16 cent per minitute if making call to malaysia. sms to malysia also 15 cent sing. ( global sms)
I suggest tht because ar...
If using own malaysia card , they charge roaming , if not wrong RM1.50 for a sms , or few dollar ringgit per minute call to malaysia.
Just give suggestion . haha.. if you think you don't need to call back malaysia ,then it's okay la.
That card , can last for 6 months lo,so maybe next time u come again to singpore to travel within 6 months, u can still use it , or else , u need to finish up the money or , sell to ur frn before leaving. but u probably need to bring ur passport for registration for a card.
