I think Singapore Flyer would be more accurate compare to Eye of Singapore..haha

I would suggest National Museum of Singapore as its quite interesting, can spend a few hours there. Its also near Fort Canning, maybe U can have a short walk around there.. If u were into science stuff may I suggest the Science Museum..I like that place, more interesting than the one in KL IMHO.

Then at nite maybe have a drink at Clark Quay or go walk around Bugis and Sim Lim since theyre near each other..

Science museum or Science Centre?
Science Centre seems nothing much for me....

u missed out alot actually, and the places to go actually depends on what age group you're in.

Katong laksa is a must try. the name says it all, its in katong singapore.
marina if u like video arcade games.
simlim t if u're into electronics and comp parts (like in lowyat)

along orchard there's a nicely constructed building which houses BORDERS.

Hotels? No worr... dun plan to... use deodorantlah lol. when in college... already undergo intensive tahan-tidur training at FTZ cafe.
Id rather save the cash and splurge it on exploring more of singapore

Im 21 only... going alone unless anyone else interested in this 36 hour stint or want to meet up.
Gadget freak.... but if simlim same as lowyat... then no nid bah (lowyat cheaper neways?)
Food-wise... hmm... katong laksa is now on my checklist... any others?

When you got nothing to do, then i dont think your intensive tahan tidur will works... tongue.gif

Anyway, SG MRT and buses some routes stop at 11.00 and some at 12.00pm, so plan your journey properly. Unless you want to take taxi which is quite expensive...

Simlim has more gadgets than lowyat, SG is more advanced in term of technology advancement tongue.gif

Their stuff is 'newer'.

no way that lowyat is cheaper than simlim. go online and compare ler. they also got price list online wat.

katong laksa good choice. go to their holland road and lepak cuci mata at night and get laid. make sure its past 9pm. and for fast n furious ppl, go lepak at their tagor road. plenty of car mod shops.
marina offers plenty of video games , arcade games and illegal street racing bbut mainly on weekends.

I think bird park is boring, but if you are going science center(kinda of boring as well), maybe you can just drop by, since both are pretty near. If you plan to shop, can include orchard road in your trip. But you are only staying 2 days 1 night, maybe you should limit yourself to fewer places, save on the traveling time and enjoy more.

For the DHL ballon, i nt too sure if they are still around, last i heard they are leaving already.

Can visit Zouk/ ST James if you like clubbing.

I do not recommend night safari, but they seems having promotion (50% off) right now...

I recommend Bugis St - Shopping, Eye of Sg (Quite Exp), Sg Zoo, Sentosa Island, Hot Air Ballon (DHL - Near Bugis)
*
Night safari can pay in msia linggit if ur holding msian passport promotion a few months back; now dunno whether still on or not. Either RM22/RM28 (cannot remember which) instead of SGD28 thumbup.gif Bring exact linggits cuz they dun have change tongue.gif

Hi,

i planning to go to singapore this weekend..

overnight in SG on sat.

budget as cheap as possible.
*
stay in backpackers hotel should be as cheap as possible.
Althought it's cheap ,but not bad .
last time i stay at inn crown hostel which located at little india . It's a nice place and the price is affordable $20 per night if not mistaken. Others backpackers hotel like Bugis Backpackers, Fragrance Backpackers Hostel, The New 7th Storey Hotel and Betel Box Backpacker Hostel, may in ur list of consideration as well.

Any good hotel recommendation ideal for family, clean & affordable (btw 200-300) near Chinatown's People Park, Bugis Street or Orchard Street? And very near MRT ones

Check out the Hotel 81 Palace, where i stayed during my trip to SG in March (4D3N)...

The rooms are small and really cramped toilet but its very affordable! Online booking gave me a rate of SGD60+ per night, although me and my gf stayed there for only 2 nights, with the final one spent at her bro's place...
